I just finished these for my 5month old granddaughter. The first version didn’t stay on very well, so I started the sides on the HDC next to the DC and shortened the straps. Bingo! I wish I could upload a photo. They’re darling! Thank for sharing your pattern. 👍👍👍

Gosh. Thank you. It was great to see a crochet baby sandal in English! Wow. Many beautiful crocheted shoes/scandals but difficult to understand what size yarn and hook were being used!! I see two years back someone asked for directions to make them bigger. One suggestion is to use a very large hook and some of the really "fat" yarn. This you could use the exact same counts as in the tutorial but would have to experiment to see which hook and yarn would produce the desired size.

Thanx for posting this tutorial! Every so often the terms used in the instructions are a little confusing and redundant. I.E. after adding the 2nd colour yarn, what you mean to say is your bringing your needle around the "post" of the next stitch of the previous row. It's wrapping around the post and upper loops instead of left stitch... Thanks again!

I got the bulky #5 yarn for the base of the shoe and followed your directions and it came out HUGE...lol. What am I doing wrong because # 5 bulky yarn here in the US I got at Michael's Crafts is obviously way too bulky. These shoes could fit a 2-3 year olds foot 😂
