Both types eventually convert into glucose, and excessive glucose levels are associated with diabetes. It's essential to be mindful of your eating patterns, including fasting and feasting.
The video emphasizes the importance of opting for complex carbohydrates to regulate diabetes. Complex carbohydrates take longer to convert into glucose. Examples include whole wheat flour, brown rice, and chapati made from bajra. In contrast, it's advised to limit the consumption of simple sugars found in fruits, juices, and caffeinated beverages. Spacing your meals by eating something every two hours can help stabilize blood sugar levels.
Physical activity and yoga are recommended to aid in glucose regulation. Regular exercise helps the body use glucose more efficiently. You can also incorporate various spices from your kitchen that boost metabolism and support insulin function. Examples of such spices include fenugreek (methi), Indian cottage cheese (paneer dodha), turmeric, and cinnamon (dalchini). These natural ingredients may contribute to better diabetes management.
