All she wanted was to show you her village and their way of life which is truely beautiful and magic. What a place and so alive. Nature, animals everywhere and all the people are so friendly. They are really living their best life up there. I hope you visit her again some day!

Yep, it's a pretty well known saying not to trust anyone that walks up to you on the street but this just shows how that (not necessarily unwise) pessimism can often lead to you missing out on incredible experiences in life. There's no scam or ill-will involved, just a genuine human being trying to make a living for their family.
@icanthearyoufool5 ай бұрын
Certain cultures have a scam mentality, south-east Asia generally has people who want to just do an honest day's work to make ends meet.
@ThanhBui15 ай бұрын
We can all learn from Harald, always give people a chance until they prove otherwise. You can ask about the price in advance and try for a couple days. If you are not happy then stop. For people from small town, there is not many ways to advertise their business, and the best way is to talk to potential customers like she did. Harald is really nice because he doesn’t judge people when he first meets them!!

But in the Philippines in barangays (probins, or villages) most of the houses and shacks and resort bungalows are made of bamboo. And the 'happy plant' is one of the most useful plants (for humans and the environment) on the planet. The fabric and clothing made of this plant last forever and no bug ever dares to come near them. I agree with you but I would challenge you to read the apocryphal texts and Samaritan texts. Take a look at the stone wall with the writings. You’ll find that it’s older than what Catholics gave us. Ethiopian Bible. It just makes one think a little bigger of how just how big our God is. I’m not saying I agree with all the older stuff. Just like we as Christian’s don’t follow everything in the Bible. But it broadens your mind and pulls you deeper to your own connection with what you believe who God is. I had an English to Vietnamese dictionary but we couldn't use it as they didn't even speak Vietnamese. It was a weird situation. We were on a small foot bridge going across the river. I was talking to my friend about them and they were talking to each other about us. It was all very friendly and eventually we said goodbye. I am Hmong, and I love being Hmong. Not a lot of people know about us.. I feel like we are the "indians" of the asian people. We are not after money like most other Asians but rather a peaceful and spiritual life is much more important. It's all very ancient china. Thank you for sharing our culture! Look up the "secret war" in USA. We made sacrifices and fought with the USA in the vietnam war against our own communist Asian people for better rights/life, some of us made it here to the United States, most others died in the process even after the war we were then considered "traders" (never betray asian people they are crazy in the head) and were killed. The sacrifices of our ancestors then allowed us to live a new life here in the USA, and now USA is our home. *Cheers* to justice and the light!
