Have the exact one for 3-4 years doing semi truck trans no issues. Lives outside in the rain as well

I been using one for twenty years or more. I did clutch a huge kenworth transmission but I was at someone else's shop and they had a jack. I have bought both HF jacks. Should handle all I run into.

Sunbelt Rentals has transmission jacks, just looked at the Sunbelt rates, $39 a day or $110 a week, seems reasonable if there is one close enough of course. The ESCO 10812 4500lb/2.2 ton transmisison jack looks like it might be decent, ($949 through Home Depot Ship-To-Store) but if you are just using it once every couple of years or something that's hard to justify.

That doesn't sound to bad. most jacks I seen were 1500 plus. used this one twice and had it tied up for a week each time so I would have spent almost the same amount renting one i guess

That's not a transmission jack for a semi truck. The one they rent is for small vehicles

Interesting you make that assumption on 2000lb jack… Never had a car transmission weigh even half that…
