After using my Harbor Freight Bead Blaster for many years I have made many modifications to it, and I have just 3 moor, (when completed) I feel that I will have the bead blaster I have always wanted.
Much like my Bead Roller it took many years of use to get to the final product.

Thanks Jere for this update. I agree that being able to see details is a great necessity in a bead blaster. Also, a "no hub" is often called a "street" in fittings for plumbing and I would surmise for vacuum hose fittings.

Paul, The guy at the hardware store called it a "no hub". To me it is one of those connector things. That's what I asked for and he took me to the correct bin and pulled it out. Jere

Jere - I put fine wire mesh like you people over there put on scree doors with a 1/2 gap - been on three year now and never has to clean or tough the glass since. But even so I just learnt two new ideas from you keep it coming mate!

Amazon should have the LED if you cannot find it locally. Home Centers also sell LED replacement light tubess for flourescent lamps. My glass panes on top my HF cabinet was held on with screws and ntus. It was a pain to work with. I installed nutserts in the top and that way I did not have to work both sides of the bolt and nut through the blast door, it makes replacing the glass faster and just works so much better. My cabinet is a floor model, older style with the lamp housing mounted on the top of the cabinet. I believe the newer models have lights inside the cabinet. You will love the LED for its brightness.

I will look for a brighter LED the next time I go to Ukiah. If I cant find it there I will resort to Amazon. Jere

That mastic (you call it dum dum) might be ok for a while but as somebody that has went down this road replace it all with neoprene weatherstripping. Neoprene always you to take it apart years later when you will have to and doesn't suck up every drop of sand that touches it I've had the same blaster since 1993

Thanks for sourcing Tacoma. I definitely need to upgrade the media hardware. Looking forward to seeing your blasting cabinet in operation and BTW what are your compressor specs?

I have two compressors hooked together. I also have a spare that is not together as of yet. I never run out of air using the blast cabinet or my air tools. I will show them in my next video after getting everything back together. Jere
