I'm impressed that it didn't bog down. Nice and easy through the cut and this saw works well. I would loved to have seen you resaw that Tuba-4, lol, and make it a pair of 1x4's. Of course, without a fence of some type, it wouldn't have been the straightest of cuts. I saw the thumbnail of the lure. Can't wait to see how you made it.
