Hey guys! Here is another workflow based on previous videos where we talked about details on cylinders. Here I used the same techniques and as you will notice, somewhere I removed triangles, and somewhere I left them since they cause no issues. Hope this helps! P.S. this was just a morning practice, the object has no real purpose :) Cheers, Mario

Your workflow is something else! I just started re learning 3D after many years. Your videos are really inspiring! I am absolutely love the minimal textures what you using! If you could make a basic tutorial on them that would be much appreciated! Awesome stuff! Keep it up man!

I love how you move your edges around to keep perfect topology. Inspiring. Thank you
@AyushBakshi4 жыл бұрын
at 06:30 the selection of edges that are outlining the design, the one that gets beveled, can be done much faster by selecting the poly loop inside, converting that to parameter edges then deselecting the inside edgeloop.

Is it possible to apply a dark blinn material to all created objects by default?
@leecaste4 жыл бұрын
Select "lambert1" in the hypershade click the "output connections" button (square with arrow/triangle pointing to the right) create a blinn and connect it to the "initialSadingGroup" Surface Shader slot instead of the lambert1.

I'm currently working through one of your C4D courses. Thinking about moving to Maya. How you would compare hard surface modelling in Maya to C4D?
@Elementza4 жыл бұрын
If you're serious about 3D modeling as a career, you will benefit more from Maya. While you can still use C4D, the modeling tools are very simplistic in comparison. That is just my personal opinion of course.
@Kenaz4 жыл бұрын
@@Elementza Thank you for your opinion. Character animation also appeals so I feel moving the Maya will happen sooner than later. I appreciate the reply!
@PrimordialStrange4 жыл бұрын
@@Elementza That advice is super legit! I've even seen and even asked one of the artist in Lucas films, and he even recommended maya for career purpose. Hell even the modeling team behind cyberpunk 2077 has used Maya as far I know.

we need hardsurface modeling course for cars, i pay 200$ for it, that's what i save for just in case someday happen...
@Elementza4 жыл бұрын
Here´s the thing. The training that I currently have will give you the knowledge to model a car, a tank, or anything else really. If I make a course on how to model a car, I would also need to explain the topology decisions behind it. Which I already did in Maya and Cinema 4D training :) Hope this explains it. Cheers!
