Very good video, this is exactly how I hard swap. It indeed changes invasions/ duels in ER. Jeenine has the full blown inventory layout vid which is also a useful resource for inventory set ups. Steelovsky is also very mechanically sound in swaps and in combat tech in general.

Left hand yes, no way around that. But the paddles free up the right hand, especially when running.

I don't buy people are doing this consistently fighting a lengthy pvp match. What I do buy however is people cheating and using programmable controllers to do this stuff consistently with no effort and the push of a single button. Basically cheating IMO if you have to use a custom controller in any form.

Basic hard swapping isn’t too difficult, it just takes a bit of practice. You’ll get there 💪 Not to mention many people are able to pull off full armor riposte swaps and frame perfect moveswaps on stock controllers. Don’t be put off because it can look a little intimidating. With a little practice you’ll get it ☺️

perfectly put together video! 👏👏👏 Been considering getting a dual sense edge controller since they came out. think after watching this im definatly going to order one! Im a carpenter by day, gamer at night. Not a great combination for my hands.. the pain is real! and the "claw" doesnt help lol. Hello very well done Thank you I have an XBox controller I don't know how to hold my hands here. What I also noticed as a very positive thing is that not all of your weapons are at max level.

Xbox is easier, just use your right thumb for the d pad I recently switched to ps5 and I miss the Xbox controller

Actually doing it on keyboard is much easier,but unfortunately you can't change menu control, while in ds series you could do that so my 5 button mouse can't use it max potential.

I have no idea how this works on PC. Can you just use the mouse to select the weapon that you need?

@@bladeofmaya it's not as comfortable as using buttons. You just remember combination and everything works so you don't need to think about it. Also with my other mouse buttons i can use it two scroll down or up. And use number button for the same issue. For me it's just much more comfortable and i don't need to use claws and buy controller with double button's.

One thing I'd love to know or see are best practices in terms of inventory layout, i.e. which weapon should go where, how to arrange them in relation to each other etc. I think Steelovsky has a vid on that topic, but I don't think he goes into as much detail as I'd like

@@bladeofmaya I'm a bit of a hardswap noob myself, so Jee's layout with 25 weapons of the same type just makes my head spin, not gonna lie haha Your guide is a super good starting point tho, very well made and concise which I like. I'll also vouch for the paddle idea, just having constant access to the run button alone makes a world of a difference I've found.

Nevermind, I got it, You just go to equipment, select the slot of weapon you want to change, there press y for detailed view, and it will remain like that, now use your mouse to swap weapons midfight, but you can't dodge while swapping, so make it quick
