There was a guy in my judo club we called knuckles because he would constantly dig his knuckles in pressure point areas to get you to open up guards. It was really helpful though because you would eventually learn it's just pain and not dangerous so do your best to ignore it.

We actually got taught to do that in Judo class, grab the pants and dig the knuckles into the thigh to open the guard. Like you say effective in the beginning but at some point you get used to it (and thus people cant do it to you in competition). Same with using the elbow to force a guard open.

My favorites are 1) "Horse Bite . You pinch and twist the skin on the inside of the thigh as hard as you can to get people off of you . They will sometimes literally jump up . First time done I swore something was torn and bleeding . 2) Switch your hand lead hand but NOT your feet. Throw some 1- 2's but then leave the rear hand out front and start "jabbing " with it. The other guy will reset his distance not realizing he is staying in range of the other hand now . 3) What my last instructor called "Larry Harstells Request " When on somebodies back and they wont give up the neck stick an elbow in their spine and start grinding , head pops up real fast

Man, I Love This Channel!! I got one that I never do in class for anything, but use your middle knuckle on your middle finger. Make a fist, but keep that second knuckle pointing out on the middle finger. Then simply dig that knuckle right into somebody's rib cage, or other sensitive areas. I got an injury one time, and it was because something hit me underneath my shin bone, just like that BJJ guy did. Past the flesh, and underneath thee actual shin bone...it's ridiculously sensitive.

It is always astonishing to me just how intolerant your body can be to particular sensations. A hard punch or kick onto the cheek is unpleasant but tolerable. However, press a knuckle into the cheek - just below the cheekbones, where you feel the upper gum underneath the flesh, is a 'hollow' - even light pressure there hurts like crazy and leaves an ache. Mike isn't soft or cowardly - this is a man who willingly got hit with a steel whip and pepper spray - but his reactions to some of those tricks tells you just how painful they are.

That's how REAL training goes. I have been laughing so hard watching this video! In a REAL dojo you learn the CLEAN way, but also the down and dirty. Martial arts is not crotchet! A good dojo is a great equalizer, because if you behave like an asshole, there will always be someone willing and knowledgeable to put it you into place. And for those (rare) stubborn ones, there will be a serious injury to bring home, which in the end helps everyone in the dojo in keeping a civilized and educational atmosphere. BEAUTIFUL. I LOVED THIS VIDEO.

I felt bad for mike by the end man XD. My Judo sensei used to give us cow bites on our ears and legs if we were spacing out or goofing off hahaha. My favorite as far as dirt moves go are pressure points in the wrist and knees. Shit makes you feel like a superhero haha.

I like doing 12-6 elbows to the meat of the thigh when I'm getting kneed in the clinch. It's a fun dirty technique that discourages the knee. The only downside is it's a little harder to land well. Another fun one that's hard to land, but is super fun when I can get it to land is to elbow the arch of the foot when someone is trying to side-kick me. Lastly, the dirtiest one that I would only ever suggest to use for self defense is, when you sprawl, you use the falling motion to do a 12-6 elbow to the back of the skull, neck, or back. Highly effective, but brutal and super dirty.
