I don't necessarily dislike the new Collegehumor staff, but some of the older sketchers are genuinely brilliant. This one's hilarious and so many subtitles, like the casual anti-semitism or how he snatches Vinnie's book. Such a good era for the channel
@juancamera54407 жыл бұрын
Finally a fuckin mesured opinion about the subject. I do too watch the new content, but i prefer the 2009-2012/2013 era. I hate when "old fanboys" think they're being cool by sayin "oh, it isn't funny anymore". It is funny now: but it was funnier back then.
@mikecantreed4 жыл бұрын
Agreed with the level of complexity being much higher with the old cast. The new sketches are here’s a concept e.g if people acted the way they acted on dating apps in real life. Then it’s just a series of amusing examples played against various straight men. It’s one dimensional
@eazyknotz14 жыл бұрын
@@mikecantreed I wouldn't the ideas were more complex just the execution. I like the new guys, but I like these more because of the vintage look a long with the vintage execution, really gritty compared to the new things which are more campy.
@scepteredisle3 жыл бұрын
the new staff are objectively bad and don't put jokes in their sketches. IT's OK to admit this. It's ok to point out the good actors/actresses they have are given crap material and the rest are useless diversity hires who are worthless and would never be more than a background character in the olden days.
@zackmash8513 жыл бұрын
a lot of old collegehumor was driven by outside forces of comedy, like in this video where the intense and hilarious jon gabrus showcases his talents. and these people brought in not only their humor and skills to the writing side but also helped the staff at the time harness their improv powers. this eras staff was funniest for the same reason often say "jake and amir is the pinnacle of CH", because much of it was genuine riffing and on the spot ideas that ended up being brilliant

I imagine that to this day no one has told Dan they no longer respect Fluegson. How even now, almost a decade later, Dan still drives to the old college humor offices twice a week, waits for bookclub to start, copy of to kill a mockingbird in hand, and never understands why no one else shows up. Don't dare tell him ye children, Dan lives in a magical world where Fluegson is still respectable, we have no right to deny him that innocence!
