How did you make the OSC1 "only listen" to the low notes?

The SY-300 lets you specify the range of notes that each oscillator will process into synth tones. It cannot ignore strings, rather you just select a range of notes. It is waaaaay better at isolating low notes, so I usually set up one OSC to a -12/-1oct base synth sound for any note below E3 (3rd string, 2nd fret), but obviously, sub-octaved power chords don't sound so great with this setup... bit too muddy. If you try make it only listen to higher notes like, say, E4 and up, it starts shaving off lower harmonic content and the high note sounds too shrill, even if you make the OSC -2oct or adjust the EQ. Best to just set it to listen to all notes for the OSCs you use for leads.
