I'm fortunate that I'll have a Commander Core XT to attach the strips to within the 7000X case I'm building my new rig with; I was going to chuck the module away in favour of an iCUE Link QX fan setup, so I'm grateful for the added utility. I reckon that the cable clips don't accommodate three strips seamlessly is because they were designed with the slimer Type 5 cables in mind, like with their new ATX 3.0 Shift PSU's. Thanks for the review.

Great video sir. This was very helpful in my RGB build out that had a mix of different Corsair, Lian Li, MSI, and Asus LED parts. Ugh. Lol I wish Lian Li made a CPU cooler RGB cable option as well. My CPU cooler power on the MoBo has an 8 pin socket and a 4 pin socket. I'm currently trying to just cover my existing power cables for this with the Corsair RGB Cable Strips and it is not a good fit. :/

Hi csrnibbler9912, I totally understand that, We all seem to have a mix of RGB vendors, it's just the nature of the industry right now. In addition, it does seem like sometimes we have to just try and find a good compromise with existing products out there. I like these PSU RGB cables from Corsair, but as you stated, not always a good fit. I wish you luck in getting it completed. Have fun with it and thanks for watching!!!

I think most do not take the time to learn how to use IQue. The multiple layers allows you to do almost anything you want. aside from the reassembling effect that was demonstrated i did not see anything I could not do in IQue

Yeah I am betting the artifacting is the result of power supply issues. If it goes away when you have it running off a hub with Sata power it would resolve that.

Did you ever get a solution to the artifacting?

If I have a commander core xt and commander core from my AIO. I bought two boxes (4x in total) but linked two and two would I have enough slots to connect to my icue?
@HardwareArtisan18 күн бұрын
Hi briannaugle6338, You can combine all 4 strips together and use the 'single' 3 pin rgb port on the CORE XT to connect them. Combining 3 or more strips, be sure to add power using the SATA power connector. Unfortunately, the CORE doesn't have this 3 pin RGB connector and the CORE XT only has one. So although all 4 strips can be daisy chained together and use this single port. I could a situation where that might be difficult depending on where in your case the strips are being placed. You might not have enough cable length to make the connection between the two sets of strips. In this case, see if you can locate them close enough to daisy chain all 4. If not, you will need a solution. I don't think they make a splitter for the 3 pin corsar connection, but you can look. You could use one of the 4 pin fan ports to get an RGB signal to the second group of strips, you have to use an adapter cable (extra purchase), but this would then act much like the 3 pin ARGB port. I did a video on using the 4 pin fan connector for 3 pin ARGB, you could use this adapter cable, then use the other adapter cable in the box to make this connection, it's a bit messy but would work, check it out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWOzpWtslNaIj8U Alternatively, consider buying a "Lighting node pro", which is a small corsair controller that has 2 of the 3 pin (corsair) connections on it and would work for these RGB strips, you should still be able to find these controllers. If it were myself, I'd try to get the strips close enough to daisy chain all 4 together allowing you to use the single port. If not, i'd use a lighting node pro. I hope that helps, good luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!

@ thanks I used your technique and daisy chained them all together to my XT. Works perfectly in icue. I also just ordered the cooler master AIO ARGB sleeves and those Corsair magnet triangle kits 4x. I watched your other videos before I purchased everything. You really are the man when it comes to Corsair! I appreciate all your time and videos so much. Thanks again I’ll let you know how the sleeves go when they arrive.

@HardwareArtisan5 ай бұрын
Hi fox-hound-yt7sj , I haven't had any notable problems with TT RGB PLUS or Lconnect with icue. I don't really run TT RGB plus often with icue though. Are you having a specific problem? Does it resolve when you shut down tt rgb plus?

What CORSAIR really needs to do is finally get the software to work. What's the gauge size of the MB and GPU power wires? I sure hope it's not 18 gauge.
