I sang this much growing up and it had a profound effect on me. Beautiful words . Partner of my throne shalt be - isn’t grace wonderful that we get to partner with him, the gracious almighty Saviour

Hark my soul it is the Lord!!!!! Being born and brought up in Scotland, at a very early age about 4 yrs old, my mother a lovely godly woman, brought me and my older brother and sister, all attended church of Scotland, every Sunday. Since that early age I learned to love the great hymns of the faith, each hymn has a powerful message!!!many of them remind me of the day when I was saved, during the singing of "pass me not O gentle Saviour.....hear my humble cry, while on others Thou art calling, do not pass me by!!!!!Praise my Lord and my Saviour. Amen.

Praise God. Anyway my heart goes for the sorry state of churches in England in particular and Europe in general. The nations that send their sons and daughters to third world countries to proclaim the gospel, have ditched God from their public, personal and family lives. How sad!!! I wish and pray for a revival in Europe where pulpits and pews in the churches are constantly being attacked by liberal shallow God-less philosophies-love from Tamil Nadu(India)

Hark, my soul! It is the Lord, 'Tis thy Saviour, hear His word; Jesus speaks, and speaks to thee - "Say, poor sinner, lov'st thou Me? "I delivered thee when bound, And when wounded, healed thy wound; Sought thee wand'ring, set thee right, Turned thy darkness into light. "Can a woman's tender care Cease towards the child she bare? Yes, she may forgetful be, Yet will I remember thee. "Mine is an unchanging love, Higher than the heights above; Deeper than the depths beneath, Free and faithful, strong as death. "Thou shalt see My glory soon, When the work of grace is done, Partner of My throne shalt be; Say, poor sinner, lov'st thou Me?" Lord, it is my chief complaint That my love is weak and faint; Yet I love Thee, and adore, Oh, for grace to love Thee more! Source: Musixmatch

brought me to tears as I come across the 3rd verse, as it is taken from the very bible verse that God gave me years before. "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." Isaiah 49:15-16
