@@Ojisan642 that "fake gas cap," has been a fuel gage for at least twenty years. Don't know if the brand new ones kept the fuel gage on the left. The early Softails were split tanks with a cap on each tank. One was left thread and one was right hand.

Dude, the fact that Bert’s let you, and you insist upon, being straightforward and upfront is a huge testament to how stand-up the both of you are. I’d do business with them any day and may in fact do so now based upon your experiences with them. My experience with Harley dealers has been mixed but they are definitely one of the good ones. I love my Road King, of course everyone will have their personal preferences, but it is extremely helpful to have a candid, trustworthy source such as yourself to get you started on the process of evaluating the options on the market. As always, well done Shadetree!

I completely agree, I rented a heritage classic and did not like how it handled the mountain roads, felt like I had to push it thru the corners. I wonder if thats a harley thing or the heritage classic. In the highway going straight it was a delight.

Hey man, dunno if you're still checking comments here. I've been tossing around getting a Heritage or a Road King for a few months now. I've got a v-rod and a vulcan I'd be selling to basically just consolidate my assets into one bike to save space. I don't do a whole lot of touring (though I do hop on the highway for long bits now and then), would you still say the Road King is a better buy if 90% of my riding is either back roads or just hitting local places with buddies? I figure at this point you're the only person I really know of with enough experience on either to give a reasonable opinion on the matter. Also, I'll be sure to recommend Bert's to any of the Florida guys I know who might be interested. It's very clear they truly believe in the spit they're spouting. Aaaaanyway, thanks for the video man. That gal looks awesome on that Fatboy. Being 30 myself, I know exactly where you're coming from every time you mention one lol

Bert's sounds like a good family run dealership. You're lucky to have them. It's now a 45 minute ride to either of the 2 family owned dealerships in my area. A motorcycle group came in and bought up the local dealership in Avon, OH. And after a year and a half, they closed their doors. Not sure if it's Covid related or just bad business. I think Its the latter being blamed on the former from what I've heard. Oh well, seems like you guys have a good thing going, keep up the reviews!
