Man getting that dreaded check engine light or other warning lights can be frustrating. However, you can get your bike into Diagnostic Mode yourself and maybe save your self some time, money and frustration by watching this week's video. Learn how to get the bike in diagnostic mode, how to check for trouble codes and how to interpret them. Follow along as I work through these processes on my 2021 Road Glide Special to diagnose the solid red security light that popped up on my ride to work. Watch until the end to see how I find the issue. Great video. I have a 2021 Road Glide CVO. While putting new KST handlebars on last year I ripped a plug off of the end of the throttle by wire cable. I am getting a 1510 error code. Thanks a bunch that tells me the plug I fixed may have come loose. Definite new subscriber here.

Thanks Neil for watching, commenting and subscribing to the channel. I appreciate your kind comment and support. These bikes are so electronically driven, I felt it valuable to share this tip so others could also self diagnose issues with their bike and save the time and money involved in taking it to the dealership or shop. Or at least having the knowledge as to when it maybe necessary to have to take it to the dealer or shop. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👍👊

Yesterday I was out riding and my right V&H muffler slipped out. I kicked it back into the header pipe and rode carefully home. I threw a code. I suspect it had something to do with that. Now I know how to verify it. I’ll retorque the exhaust and call it good 👍.

Thanks for sharing, I had bars & stage 1 installed at HD dealer (new 2023 Road Glide) and picked it up late yesterday and rode home (40-45 miles) and parked for 30 minutes at home and went to ride and have dinner and when I started it the TC & ABS & Red check engine light came on) P1100c and C1032c are the codes showing when I check codes. I tried clearing the codes and only the C1032c will clear but comes right back on. Is this a situation that puts me in harms way on engine until I can get it in service this Tuesday. My thoughts are when installing the bars they didn’t possibly have the correct ABS part for the cables, (they had to use cable extension due to 14” bars) and the other code possibly vibration coming home made the connection loose the the ECM..?.?. Any thoughts from you would be much appreciated. Thank you

Thanks for watching and commenting. If they are c codes they won't clear. You can only clear them when they show an H at the end. I would suggest calling your local dealer and ask them about the codes to see what would appropriate to do given the codes. Since the dealer did the work I'm sure they will get you fixed up. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍

Google and clear codes 😂😂😂 I installed some LED lights and caught several codes. Turned ignition switch on and immediately hit start button and threw a code. Jumped bike with jump box threw codes. I reset them each time and wasn’t a problem.
@HDVIBE Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience. If the codes ended in high then they will clear. If they end in c, then there is an issue that needs to be tracked down to be rectified. These bikes have a lot of electronics running them and the slightest electrical surge can throw codes. Thanks for watching and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
