Harley-Davidson Road Glide Rebuild - Why did I do this?

I finished rebuilding the body on my ‪@harleydavidson‬ Road Glide. It's a lot of work, but the finished product I think speaks for itself. It's now a bike that isn't available in this color for the year that it is, and it will definitely cause a few people to scratch their heads. Love advan black, I ordered a king tourpack in blackjack metallic with liner and mounting system, I was told 6 plus weeks but got in a little over 3 weeks. Perfect paint, fit and finish was awsome, when I sent a question before ordering, they replied by email withing 24 hours, and gave me a 5 percent discount to use on the order, saying sorry the web site did not make it clear. Great company.

Just leave that console/dash right there. IMHO it flows with the seat, dark windshield and connects the bike. It belongs there. Maybe it looks totally different in person, and you think I'm full of it. But that's what I think, so there. LOL It looks sweet. nice job

I ordered my tank dash on a Friday and had it in my hands the following Wednesday. It was vivid black, so that may explain the quick delivery. Black does look good on that blue tank though 😎

According to advan black the drain hole is on the outside of the lid because the channel or "gutter" is there to get the last bit of water out when you open the lid. It's not there to drain while the lid is closed. I'm sure it will somewhat but it's primary function is draining the "bowl" when the lid is in the opened position.
