Hey I'm trying to get my license too, but I heard your mom say she put 500 down on one? Does Harley Davidson have good or decent financial plans on their bikes? I like the 883 and the roadsters. I think the same bike your mom is looking at. Another question is does Harley Davidson do classes for newbies to get license? Thank you.
@JaretCampisi7 жыл бұрын
Honestly I would go into your local harley dealer and chat with them about it because all of the dealers are different. My mom was talking about putting 500 down to save the bike for her not as a down payment.

I've have a 2016 Fourty-Eight. I love it. You'll deff want another seat. I put a new seat on mine and it makes the suspension feel more than adequate. Take you're mom to check out the yamaha bolt. My dad just turned 60 and i got him to buy one for his first bike. If you thought the Iron 883 was easy to ride, the bolt will blow your mind and it's a tamer than the 883. Not to mention, you can probably still get a 2016 Bolt for like $5,700 brand new left over stock. They make v&H pipes for it and a bunch of other goodies.
@JaretCampisi7 жыл бұрын

@JaretCampisi7 жыл бұрын
I'd go monster 821 for sure. Much more performance and handling in every single aspect over the 883. The only reason anyone would choose a harley over the ducati is simply for the look or style

this is the last year they are making the V Rod. I'd say 883 Iron or the 48 but the low rider S (special) is a good one it's fun to ride and has a 110 screaming eagle on it so that little thing moves

Chain drive is far more reliable than a belt. It is repairable too. Belt drive is quieter, and do not require periodic lubrication. I may convert my new XL to a chain. A belt also better absorbs drivetrain lash.

What an amazing dealership! Just got my first Sportster 1200 Custom. It's a 2013 and I love it. Definitely glad I went with the 1200cc and not the 883cc even though the 883 looks bad arse. People always wonder why a Harley? I can't tell you anything other than the feeling I get when riding one is incredible. I've ridden Japanese bikes before and it's just not the same. Add some Rush slip ons and the bike will have a gorgeous low end rumble that's not annoyingly loud but enough to get you noticed. One thing I will say is don't disregard how much extra money you will have to pay to customize the bike. The new stock bikes are annoyingly quiet. I upgraded to LED lights, new seat, slip ons, passenger pegs, and then you have to buy gear to ride in. Figure to add another $1500-$4000. That's why I bought a used 2013 model, the bike had 380 miles on it and cost half as much as a new one so I had plenty of cash left over for upgrades. You can check out my bike on my channel.

No clue. The S series came out last 2016 with fat boy s and slim s. I'm march last year with low rider s. Slim and fat boy are both softails. Low rider is a dyna. They all have 110 motor / 1802cc. Cruise control and security. They are all black except slim also come in the army green. I'm sure some other little thing I forgot.
@CoronaJoe7 жыл бұрын
Little tip if you seriously shop for Harley's. You'd get bored with a sportster, the softail don't handle well, better highway bikes. Dyna is where it's at! Lighter, much sportier chassis, with the big engines. Hint, exposed rear shocks, but without peanut tank = Dyna! If you can't see rear shock, = softtail!

Looks like fun -- shopping for motorcycles with your mom and girlfriend. You may want to check out the Indian Scout; 100hp, very well balanced, and pretty cool looking for a sport cruiser. (Similar to Sportster but in my opinion - better re: performance, lean angle, and looks.)
@ziiofswe6 жыл бұрын
Probably nothing wrong with those 750's, but... it looks like they have a different cylinder angle, so they won't "sound Harley". I'd recommend a 1200. 883 is nice for a beginner, but you'll get tired of it within the year and still want to upgrade to a 1200..... 883 over 750 at least.

Yeah yeah they are overpriced but then again so is EVERY thing on the market these days. Go buy what you want if that's what makes you feel good. Harley’s are not torque ridden, well not compared to lots of other bikes on the market, Triumph thunderbirds shame them, not to mention the Rocket range , practically all European big twins Ktm , Ducati etc, only person who thinks Harley’s pull hard off the bottom or anywhere are people who haven’t sampled what’s on offer in the motorcycle world, Harley sell image & that’s all period.

Most people start at a much smaller cc motorcycle,and for a girlfriend ,,or a wife I would get her motorcycle course,example when I was in the military ,I started with a Honda 160,next a Honda 175 ,next a Suzuki 350,then a Suzuki 750,I have seen beginners start to big of a bike and had painfully regrets start small get trained and a great helmet and boots

Looking forward to that roadster review. I love the look of the roadster and the new iron 883.
@Traumatix6857 жыл бұрын
In regards to the tank and maybe the height, there's the Roadster (3.3 gal vs the one on the 48) which is the most sportiest Harley with the inverted forks. I was surprised you missed that, with all due respect of course!
