I got chrome HD guards for my ‘19 Deluxe. Love the look and peace of mind I get from knowing the engine is protected an my leg won’t get pinned under my bike if I have a bad day. Great vid. Ride safe!

I paid $65 for my black moustache guard from Amazon on my Sporty. Fit up perfect. I wonder if the HD is lighter though.

I was going to order the Bung King Crash Bars, but I have to ride an hour and a half to work, so soft lowers on mustache bars will make the ride better. I found some good soft lowers to order - the Leader Desert Dawgs.

I gave ya a thumbs up Tony because you ride a Softail Slim like myself except I have the 2016 Softail Slim S. And I truly appreciate your efforts on producing these informative videos, I thank you sir! As for the engine guard,,, no, loose it. This bikes design is a nostalgic one and truly gets down to the basics of riding a Harley Davidson. The rawness of riding a Harley Davidson. I feel the more accessories that is installed on two wheels is cutting it dangerously close to four wheels. The Slim begs to be left alone in this area! But this is only my opinion. Keep the videos rollin Tony!

They also keep you from dinging your gas tank if or when you drop you bike. It's really a plus when you have them in the rear too. Helps to keep from dinging all your sheet metal... most of the time that is.

Never has a problem, footboards will hit before the exhaust.

Cool video, but how the hell do you hold the damn nut that goes behind the top of the guard? Do you need a crowfoot wrench? Why did Harley tapped the bottom holes, but not the top one ? (I say this because the space is too tight to hold the nut in place so you can screw the top screw.)

Tony, I’m wheeling a 2014 fls soft tail slim.. I had the death wobble and side swiped a SUV, you ever experienced the death wobble on the fls soft tail slim?

Hey Johnny, I have not experienced the wobbles on my softail. They where completely redesigned in 2018. I have yet to hear of the newer softails having the dreaded death wobbles. It was a somewhat common problem with the older models and the Dyna line. Ride safe!

Mustache bars saved my bike after my brakes failed and I smacked the back of a car , saved my leg too because god know my leg would of been smashed to pieces without it, definitely worth the money

Hey Steve, I have all the footage recorded unfortunately some of it is out of focus. Trying to piece it together now shouldn’t be much longer. Still waiting on the clutch cable and brake line the ones I got in where way to long.
