Twin cam sounds so good. The M8 sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust, but pretty tame out of the box.

In my opinion the twin cam definitely sounds better more Lille a traditional Harley is supposed to sound . I would Like to hear them both with an exhaust upgrade and compare them again .

M8 is very smooth and modern sounding. Twin cam is a lot more mechanical and raucous

The 103 has a smooth sweet idle and overall feels more refined. But the 8 has ton more torque but not as nice of idle little rough. Based on sound alone the 103.

@@trippontwowheels unfortunately I not been able ride it iac is broken idles way to fast. And my favorite 1999 Yamaha VMAX 1200 has leaking forks so it is parked also leaving just my triumph America 865 left in my stable of stallions rideable at moment

I had a 2000 Wideglide but the baffles had been punched out before I bought it.It sounded perfect to me like that,even better than The Vance/Hines Pipes that I later put on.Listening to theses two bikes closely more than one time I like the Milwaukee 8 better with stock pipes.My option could be very different with other pipes though.

Stock for stock the twin Cams are gonna sound better, because they weren't as restricted by the EPA as far as noise goes.
