Moonshine has to be the coolest HD dealership entire whole wide flat earth we live on. I love how they’re all about MAKIN POWER!!! if only all dealers had a bad ass crew of dudes who are all about making power and bad ass bikes and have lots of depths of knowledge

That last clutch the AIM is amazing. At first I didn’t think I was going to like it but after riding about 1000 miles I love it and it works amazing but come spring time we will need a heavier setup for the 128 haha.

for a stock application, which slave cylinder works better in reducing the effort of pulling in the clutch. the AIM or the muller

Really informative video, thanks guys. I'm assuming if you are doing a 128 upgrade you'd have to be mad not to upgrade the oil pump and clutch yeah?

@@MoonshineHarley A little late but at what TQ & Hp should I worry about the basket ? I just put Barnett x plate kit in my twin cam 10: making 108 hp 116 TQ The basket looked good but now I find out about problems with the basket & HP upgrades. Thanks

Yeah like 3rd gear in my 2018 flhxs with stage 3 only 120 lbs of torque and 111 hp. Blown tranny at 7,800 miles and warranty just ran out.

Harley should offer high performance versions from the factory with the tech that goes along with the increased power. I typically buy a bike for the engine from the factory as that is the most costly to modify. Suspension mods are much less expensive. Harley’s answer to power is a larger motor but lighter bikes, composites cost money, helps everything like handling, braking, and acceleration. Less heat to move a machine.

Unruly Rider Good to hear. My Roadking is running 120 hp 138 tq. Very fun till stuff starts breaking.

Bike slipping in only 5th and 6th slightly , thinkin he needs some plates.. Bike has over 100k . adjustment on pack and lever is solid.

So would it be a total waste of money/time to go with the Screamin Eagle 1200nm springs and 10 plate clutch pack for a stage 2 build?(M8 114, 475c cam, slips-ons, PV tune) IT's like 220$ Or is the stock setup just fine for stage 2 with a 475c?

For just a cam the 1200N springs are fine. I would at least do the springs.

Hello, I have a 2018 Heritage 114, I have little over 9000 miles on it. Since we've bought it used with 2000 miles on it. It is hard to get in to Neutral. I have had it in to a Harley Dealer for adjustment, but still not going in neutral especially when I'm at a stop. I have to pretty much have to shut it down to get into neutral. What should I do?

Put into N while ur still moving

When you stop move it backwards a foot or so while holding in clutch and then try to put it into neutral. On my 2018 street glide helps a lot goes right in neutral no problem then.

Hey there. First time listener-first time comment-er(?)... I am shopping for a new HD, Street Glide likely, and have owned Road Kings before, last was '02. Are you telling me that after I pay around 30k for a new bike, I need to upgrade the clutch (more $$$) because the 'stock' clutch is crap? Serious query here.

Knowledgeable technicians. Why would you buy any motorcycle that is horrendously expensive new, and seems to need endless “ Upgrades “ and a fortune spending to make it a half decent sickle ? Misplaced brand loyalty, it seems.... or people with huge egos, and lottery winnings they don’t know what to do with. ( Or more debt.)

The upgrades we are covering are not for stock applications. The OEM drivetrain is more than adequate for stock and minor power upgrades. These parts are for when you are adding 50+ HP/TQ to the machine. And we are professional mechanics maybe not so much professional KZbinrs, we are working to get better on that part.

The money people spend just to say they got a bad ass HD. Really who cares? What the fuck do these people do with these bikes? I have a 2019 RKS and a CVO 117 bike and they are unmolested HDs. In my barn I also have a 2015 RK and a 2006 Deuce. All stock with many miles riden without wasting money on hop ups. I love the HD owner's who complain about their bikes when all this go fast shit are put on and their bikes break. Stop spending money on stupid shit.....my own 2 cents.

So......million dollar bogan has ridden his 2018 Road King Special around one side of Australia and now up the middle of Australia through hell and back twice, many many off road treks in the searing desert heat getting stuck on a regular basis and roosting his way out with giant rooster tails all without a clutch failure. I have to ask........what can a normal rider be doing to their Harley to cause this much damage that Million Dollar Bogan has not done?

Actually he told us he was easy on his clutch and never dumped it. And he didn't want to spend the extra cheddah for the basket. I guess once he got it back he just couldn't help himself 😉. He did get a big "I told you so" Haha, but I like your style... Of course we helped him out.

We agree when the engine in making more than 140HP. If its stock or close to stock the Harley-Davidson setup is perfectly fine.
