Bushings universal fit for your needs, perfect. Saves a lot of time and effort. Hope they ride superbly, Günter/Nürnberg PS: Tyre change today, CRF 300 L tube tyres, backyard, levers, sweat. The front tyre on the old Transalp 600 worked well yesterday, didn't pinch a hole into the tube ;-)

Well done on the tyre changing my friend, always a nervous time, doesn't take much to pinch one and write it off! Remember to have a cup of tea when you're done lol

Nice fit . . . makes up for all those times when a damn fine idea is 'only out' by a couple of elephants (in precision sensitive work, they may as well be!) Of course, you'd save even more money by learning to ride side-saddle, although the appropriate seat might be a funny old shape & take some getting used to, once you've been certified, you'll only need ONE shock absorber : )xx

Looking forward to a 'ride out' video on this bike, if you have the time that is. That statement at the beginning is on the money 😂

Great look. I put Ohlins on my 2014 48 and made all the difference. They were pricy but i thought what the heck. Did not go with the reservoirs as the Harley techs and parts guys said i did not need them as they are more for racing. I'm 70 so not in my life lol. They cannisters do look cool though.

Great choice, and I imagine they were 'wallet punchingly expensive'! But like the old saying goes, 'cheap ain't good and good ain't cheap'... ride safe and enjoy the miles!

Thank Paul, shouldn't need too much adjustment, just aligning it with the weight of the Harley, I think the fine tune will be dependent on the roads I can fine to test it...!

Thanks Allen, they have so much more potential for fine tuning than the factory suspension, so I should be able to get a bit more comfort and performance out of the bike now!

Hi Penny and Del - another great video. Looks like you lucked in with those shocks... good job getting them to fit with only a spacer swap! I put a YSS on my new-old BMW K75S and I'm very happy with it, even if I DID have to pay shipping from The Netherlands to Canada. Take care, dear friends. Ride safe and be well!
@Moonfleet413 ай бұрын
Yes, sure did, happy they bolted more or less straight on!... But it's not a guaranteed fix, they may still be under sprung for the bike, so a test ride and tune up with soon confirm that! Thank you, as ever, for your kind support, have a great week and ride safe, D&Px

Always nice when standardization works... I mean saving money on the manufacture of components, where they change something just so it isn't compatible with everything else.
@Moonfleet413 ай бұрын
Sure thing, I think more than any other manufacturer, Harley Davidson excel in modular design, most things fit most bikes and all that... great part is, the mounted angle of these shocsk is slightly steeper than on the Triumph, so that should give a little more flexibility to the range!

It's a good day when you can re-purpose expensive parts without a giant hassle. The Sporty is an example of how the US semi converted to the metric system. I had an old GMC pick-up and the power steering pump on that truck was mounted with 2 imperial fasteners and 1 metric. Amazing what happens when politicians get involved. 😁 Such a sweet Sporty you built Del. Thanks and cheers to you and Miss Penny. ❤👍👍

Hey Rick.. great to hear from you sir, and yes, what a stroke of luck, they fitted almost straight on, and thank you so much too on the kind words on the Sporty, it will be a shame to let it go, but at least when a new owner takes it away, it'll be as good as it can be, maybe in some ways, even better than when it left the factory 21 years ago.. Take care my friend and have a great week.. D&Pxx
