Hey Jim. I got my Harman pellet stove last year and have watched most of your videos on it. Hooked up a thermostat after watching your one. Anyhow, I just wanted to say thank you for posting these as they have helped me out more than I can say. Have a great new year and looking forward to more of your videos. God Bless.

Thanks for explaining the settings so clearly. I am using the manual setting with the cold we have right now. I am heating the same way you do with the stove downstairs heating the upstairs. I installed ductwork with blowers in the basement to move the air where I need it in the living area, when I keep everything balanced it works great. Thanks Jim

The low and high on settings on both sides of the dial thermostat or constant burn is the fan speed on the stove.
@DIYJIM4 жыл бұрын
Correct should have explained that better I like to burn my stove on low or medium fan speed

Can someone explain distribution Fan settings better? Does a Low to high setting more-or-less change it from a radiant heat to a forced/directed air?

Hey buddy. Always happy to see a new video from you. They are all great especially the camper ones and the stove ones. Here’s my question... if I run my feed rate at 3-4 at very random times it won’t light as fast and pellets go over. I changed the igniter last year. (Thanks). So now I run it at 2/2.5. Does that mean it won’t heat up as fast?
@DIYJIM4 жыл бұрын
Depends on what pellets you are burning some you have to run at a lower feed setting. I just try to keep the ash that is at the edge of my burn pot at around 1”

On a camping note where do you like to travel the most? We always seem to gravitate to a beach of some sort.

We like the KOA camp ground in new Columbia. When I retire in about 6 years I plan on taking a big trip all over maybe all the way to Texas maybe even out to California not really sure where I will end up

I just moved to a house in north central PA and the house has a P series pellet stove. The ignitor has been replaced and the stove cleaned but every once in awhile the pellets will pop start with excessive smoke. Now when I see excessive smoke build up I know a pop start is coming and I turn it off. Now the smoke gets stuck in the stove and I have no idea how to get the exhaust fan to run in order to rid the stove of the smoke. Is there a way to trigger the exhaust fan manually? What am I doing wrong to cause excess smoke prior to the pop start? It can sometimes be violent in it's sudden explosive ignition.

I have never noticed something like this with my stove. Has this stove been fully cleaned? Something sounds like maybe it could be cleaned better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpaQgXWhbqmearssi=vfH2DtWO51s-56NL

hey Jim. I've got a 10 year old P35i insert that is constantly starts up but within half an hour will show me 6 blinks on the status light. My service guy can't seem to figure out what is making it happen. He's even changed the microprocessor but that didn't fix it. We're at an impasse and I'm freezing here in PA. Can you offer any suggestions?

We just bought a house with this pellet stove and I started it this Morning when I got Up and noticed it didn’t start but you could hear the fan. Within 20 minutes I see white smoke inside and I’m afraid to Open the door! I shut it off and opened a window. Could it be just pellets that are burning under some? Thank you for any help.

Also we’ve been using this for 3 months so this isn’t the first time it’s done this and I clean it often.
@DIYJIM11 ай бұрын
Is it a Harman? When it starts it will smoke a little, but it should go out your exhaust.

Hey man iv always used the stove temp setting. It's old and last year it stopped feeding pellets and I replace the motor and it worked amazing after all winter. Now it's April and warmer and just now stopped working on normal setting. But I put it on test and everything works. It feeds pellets, the fan kicks in but put it back on a high or low setting with pellet feed thing at 3 or 4 and nothing, dosnt work. Any idea why?
