I literally never comment on videos, but I love Chef Harold so much! I've been neglecting the bon appetit videos (minus Christina Chaey's videos bc she is a goddess), but Harold pulled me back in. He is so authentic and genuine and I love seeing he breaks dishes and flavors down to build the perfect dish. He is hands down my favorite new addition and am so excited to see more of him.

I grew up eating Spam, either right out of the can or fried. Sliced it for sandwiches, and if I had time I would fried the slices, and I would then put mayo and yellow mustard on the bread. Yummy, and to this day, I still will have a sandwiches made with Spam. Also if you dice Spam up and fry it then add some eggs, and scramble the two together, it's just like ham and scrambled eggs.

Definitely recommend you cut them into about a quarter inch thick slices and lightly brown them in a pan for your first time. They weren't exaggerating at all, Spam is a staple in Hawaii. We usually eat it pan fried and as "musubi". And an easy soy sauce for the musubi is a little of "Mr. Yoshida's" with a splash of regular soy sauce to dampen some of the sweetness, add to the pan after getting the spam browned and cook just till the sauce starts bubbling. (Lots of sugar in that sauce, so it will burn if you let it go too long).
@matthewisrail3 жыл бұрын
Tbh best way to get people into spam is breakfast. I told people to cut spam into little cubes or slices and fry it. Then eat it with eggs scrambled or fried also. It becomes a instant transformation in mindset on spam
