I love watching Teddy’s facial expressions. He just draws u in.I love it. I have been going back lately and just enjoying all the old good songs from the best days of my life. I use to listen to all this with my grandmother and her friends when I was a little girls. Music is nothing like it use to b. Music back than was and still is the best ever. Period

Teddy, Harold, and the other 2 which I don’t recall their name. Jerry Cummings is the last man standing. Harold Melvin & the blue notes gave us the best of the best in music. So very glad I grew up during this era and was able to appreciate this music as it was happening! With all the great genres of music there have been over the years, there is NOTHING on earth like 70s R&B, and even more specifically the Philly sound. This music is and always will be the soundtrack of my life.

@@fjacks1189 The Temps were awesome no doubt. But I don't class them as R&B, more old school soul. The music they recorded under Norman Whitfield was pure soul. R&B is a more modern term and covers a wide spectrum of music.

@@jeremymanning2132 I put the Temps over the Bluenotes as well. While most of the Temps hold their own weight and were able to survive when a member leaves. Meanwhile, Teddy carried the Bluenotes on his back and they struggled without him. On the other hand, Harold had more memorable lead performances than Otis ever did!

Yes their choreography game was ALWAYS smooth as goose grease. Almost TOO smooth for this song. The Dramatics would have been flying all over the stage on this one. The Temptations would have been a little more full on and more involved. You know who else had smooth choreography? Another Philly group The Delfonics.

Times were so much simpler, people were a little bit more friendly , both my Mom & Dad were still alive , the music was better , because the singers really knew how to sing , and musicians knew how to get down & get funky with their instruments , and hey let's keep it real..... the price of gas was a hell of a lot cheaper 😉😇😊

@@phillipwattsjr.4714 They did the actual background on the album cuts. But on the hits, the actual background vocals were done by Kenny Gamble,Leon Huff, Bunny Sigler,and Carl Helm. Teddy also did some of the harmony parts as well. Bunny Sigler said it in one of his interviews before he passed away in 2017.

@@all4mePope "Legendary" Lloyd was an "original" (Philly International) Blue Note and co-lead singer with Teddy, way before Cummings. When Lloyd got caught up in "issues" leading to his departure, Harold brought in Cummings to replace him. Brother Lloyd is a very underrated talent who's voice talents date back to 1964-1965. I'm happy to see him performing today like he was 22 again!
