We need more Harrels in this world. My mom would plop my sister and me onto the soda fountain stools at our local drugstore where Ruby would cook up a patty-melt for us to share, make us malts or flavored cokes and listen to us babble about school or our Barbie dolls. Our mom could shop in peace and we could laugh and talk with out "Auntie" Ruby. Your story brought back the early 60s and a flood of happy memories. THANK YOU!!!

More memories from a CA Texan. As a kid we lived down in the valley & I remember driving thru Kingsville when we'd go to visit my grandparents who lived up in Collin County E of Dallas. I can't remember if we ever stopped in Kingsville but I remember going with my grandad on his trips from the farm into town. Don't know if Royse City still has their soda fountain but that's where he took us grandkids for treats❤. Love this story & thanks for those reminders of times gone by. Glad they still exist in Kingsville & hope there'll be someone to carry on in the future.🙏🏼🤞

This story brought back many old memories about my Father's drug company. The old town setting is as it was back in the day. Many of the scenes in your video, look just like my Dad's store. He sold his business in January 1967. Thank you for sharing this wonderful memory!!!

"I have a wonderful life." How great to be able to say this. This video brings up memories of a similar pharmacy that recently passed in to history in Austin's Clarksville neighborhood - Nau's Enfield Drug. It had been in business since 1951 as a pharmacy and diner. It was a great place to go for a "not in a hurry" burger." A wonderful and beloved landmark lost to time and change. 😢

This is amazing I went to school at Presbyterian Pan American school from 1972-75. Once a week they would take us into town and Harold’s was the place to shop and eat delicious burgers and shakes.
