The only mother I ever had died when I was 18, my disabled brother 10 was put into a care home. This was in the 1970s UK. We had no one else. I worked two jobs, and made a life for myself. You can't dwell on what ifs, or woe is me. You just do. it. my husband and I raised to wonderful daughters and my brother lives with us now and has done for the past 25 years 😊

I live in Southern California where you would expect their popularity to be strongest. Seeing as most people weren't familiar with Meghan before Harry and we don't have a monarchy here, it's a bit surprising that they would expect a-list treatment. Hearing that a foreigner thinks that the Kardashians are considered 'royalty' here is embarrassing but I'm not surprised. Unless they become close with George Clooney, Meryl Streep (that level of celebrity), I can't imagine that people will care that much about them. Charles needs to understand Harry and Meagain burnt bridges with the public by insulting them, and the RF since they left. Looking in, guessing about their life as kids, it must be a very insular life. There’s no riding your bike to the park, spending the night at friends homes, no Little League or Boy Scouts, or Parents Day, where proud mom & dad see artwork on cinderblock walls. I did find out that she lost her dad during the war and found out that he was in prison so that was a few years that she was passed around by mean relatives. I would argue that we don't really know our parents until we are adults. Our parents wear a mask in our childhood and show us a filtered and curated version of themselves. It's only within the freedom of adulthood that we see them as the multifaceted people they really are. The fact that Harry doesn't realize that Diana was a part of his dysfunctional family is an issue. Diana was lovely, but she was from an unstable family and no better than the Royals when it came to raising children. Trips to McDonalds and Disney make you feel normal, maybe, but he has to accept the fact that he is not from a normal family. Both of his parents were in the lime life and cheating on each other. His Granny was Queen of England. He had everything due to this. He needs to reconcile this. No Harry, it wasn't normal. But I do think Charles and Granny did the best they could. All families are dysfunctional---All. Some are just more so, than others. As you said, Diana was lovely---but she was not perfect. She had issues. Part of Harry's problem is that he elevated her to sainthood, and nobody else could compete with her "perfection". In his mind---everyone else fell far short. But as you said--she had some of the same shortcomings as the others that he is so angry with. So forgiving where Diana is concerned...but harsh and unforgiving with the rest of the family. Not to mention his own behavior, which has been despicable. The victim thing is so hypocritical--and it's getting very old. Seems like the therapists he has seen--are reinforcing his own viewpoint---whereas honest therapy forces a person to take a good, hard look at THEMSELVES. They keep going around the same mountain because that’s the only one they have. Harry losing his mum was horrible and having to grieve basically in public, was even worse. However, kids lose their parents every day. Some of them do fall apart but they don’t keep whining about it 20+ years later. Megan supposedly had racial bias problems. We (most Americans) didn’t even know she was mixed race until her mother showed up. Yes, she was an actress - on a cable show filmed in Canada. Part of what makes people think it was so popular is the cable channel is called “USA” so saying Suits is one of USA’s top shows does not mean it’s a top show in the United States. It just means it was a top show on one particular channel. Quite frankly, a lot of people who didn’t subscribe to the USA Network (as one would subscribe to HBO or Cartoon Network or ESPN) never heard of her or the show. Her other issues: There is no book on the behavior rules. It may not be a bound paper and ink book but there are plenty of aids and people available, not to mention the guy she sleeps with every night. She had emotional issues when she was pregnant. Even if it was via Facetime or a psychiatrist had to be snuck into the home inside the food delivery van, someone would’ve helped her. Period. I find it extremely ironic that Harry said the ball was “in their court” when asked about him attending the coronation. King Charles definitely slammed it right back.

Tammy, in the UK, all expectant mothers have ongoing assessments of their mental health. It is a legal requirement and must be documented. So why didn't she contact her OB-GYN or midwife? She was in her second trimester when this occurred. It doesn't make sense that she would go to Palace HR rather than the medical professional in charge of her prenatal care.

Heck he is lucky he came from a privilege background, some people out there struggles to fend for themselves but instead of complaining like a kid they accepted and worked hard to raise themselves. Well, he's not the only one who has failed to move on with it... My brother will be 39 this year & he's stunted as a 10 year old (maybe younger), the age he was when our mum died. Our absentee father who never wanted children never taught or forced my brother to grow up and become responsible for himself. My brother never lived outside the family home, never paid rent or helped with the bills, never cleaned or picked up after himself. He was too busy playing video games, ordering toys online, and eating takeout food!! He never learned to work, save or invest in things. Never had a girlfriend either. Harry isn't the only person who have dealt with loss. I lost 3 children and I have never taken my sorrow on anyone. I will always keep my children in my heart, but I carry on as best as I can. I am a productive member of society, don't take drugs or illigal substancs to survive. Harry needs to realize that he is not the only person to suffer loss. I lost my dad when I was a teen. Many people have. Megan never faced racism growing up according to her father. She also had a fine private education that her father paid for. She talked about working at the embassy in Argentina. She took the test for foreign service and flunked it twice. It was an intern job that her dad paid for.
