That two tone red/black 430 looked surprisingly good. they chose just the right lines to cut, looked awesome.

De Tomaso's Ford Pantera was the first Italian Superkar that I was and still in love with. I am born of 1963/November, and I must have been 6 or 7 years of age. It was at the Dallas Eagle Lincoln-Mercury dealership, on Northwest Highway and Jupiter Road , across from Hobby Field air strip for private planes, in my residence where I grew up, with Steel's Horse Stables on the other side. I remember going with my father to service my mother's 4 door Lincoln Continental, white with blood red interior and that Ford 460 c.i.V-8. And there was that Yellow Pantera, absolutely beautiful with black interior. I was in awe, it looked every bit exotic and that was my first experience of knowing a "mid engine Italian exotic". De Tomaso designs are some of the most advanced innovations of functional designs and masculine "sexiness" EVER. I grew up with Cadillacs, Lincolns, Austin-Healys, MG's, Triumph, Alfa Romeo's Jensens, Porsches, Jaguars and Mercedes-Benz motor kars, but that Italian Ford Pantera was love at first sight/site ! The Pantera design absolutely represented "a young boy's dream race kar".

Hi Harry! I love your videos, they are just the best. Your knowledge on cars is extremely good. Although I will have to point out that the engine in the Tz3 is not the same as the Maserati engine found in the 8c. Its the 8.4 liter v10 found in the Dodge Viper.

Im not sure about the interior. I dont think Zagato would keep the stock interior from the viper. I think they made a custom interior for each one made (about 9 made)

Just discovered Harry's channel. Great quality. Was mentioned below, but just wanted to restate, because to me it has the prettiest profile ever, that the Masearti Bora was by Giugiaro's Ital design [as was the Ghibli and Mangusta, though he was with Ghia for those two] not Bertone. I find the Bora seats the most comfortable I've ever sat in. Amazing, classy car.

Hey Harry, the thing about the Giulia sedan, is that all the lumps and bumps as you so quaintly described it this, is that the scalloping, which starts from the bonnet and goes all the way to the boot, and also along the roof line, as well as the Kamn tail is that it gave this car such magnificent aerodynamics. In its day the only car that bettered its Cd factor was the DS Citroens. The Giulia left cars such as the 911 and E-Type for dead in terms of its aerodynamics.

The Zagato TZ3 you see at 16:20 is not based on an alpha romeo, it is based on a v10 Viper! btw, love your videos!

In defence of the Jensen Interceptor, despite its West Bromwich manufacture and US engine and gearbox, the body was styled by an Italian house - Vignale, I think. I would have loved to have seen a 275GTB4A - my favourite Ferrari; also an ISO Grifo - sure it had an American engine, but then so did the Pantera. As always - a great video. Thanks Harry.

Thank you very much for the video. Two things I noticed on your comments - As few others have mentioned, the TZ3 is based on Dodge Viper, not the Maserati-based 8C Competizione. Another thing is that you called Maserati KHAMSIN "Kasmine", which sounds way too feminine, almost like a sort of flower;-)

Shouldn't be shocked at the Jensen, I showed my Alvis TE21 there back in the early 2000s and I was next to a TVR and a Cricklewood Bentley. There were plenty of Porsches too. Perhaps in the early days they just needed the money. BTW, It's Khamsin, not Khasmin.
