many people say the countach is an ugly car...countach is the car that defined and gave the basic shape for all the future lambos....from diablo to aventador and huracan..!!!it was something special and extraordinary ....something that only italians could dare and execute perfectly....!!!
@LOTPOR04029 жыл бұрын
+GIANNIS LYMPEROPOYLOS I think the Countach is a much better looking car compared to any of the Diablos ,and more dramatic
@theluckydawg24987 жыл бұрын
I've never heard anyone call the Countach ugly... how the hell did you come up with that?
@giannislymperopoylos55747 жыл бұрын
maybe the opinions that you are aware of come from people with really good taste...well the term many is a bit of an exaggeration but there are people that find this car ugly or at least odd shaped...it is a ''raw and clean'' design full of edges and angles in total contradiction with the long smooth curves of the american 60s cars or the entirely box shaped european AND american cars of the 70s-80s.....the best analogy in order to understand it is to say that the countach looks like a space ship....in fact i think that you will agree that it could easily replace the delorean in the movie ''back to the future'''...lol...though that could be a blasphemy for one of the most important products in the automotive history...anyway....countach is the TRUE DEFINITION of the word LAMBORGHINI and its design gave birth to all the future lambos....!!!!!!

It doesn't matter why this vid ended up in my suggested viewing, I'm just glad it did. Much appreciated. Like most my age, the Countach debut is the crown jewel. Those a bit older than me likely feel the Miura holds that position, and that's cool. I've never heard the story on the wing ... fascinating. Lamborghini brings us the Countach, Ford brings us the Mustang II

Wow... I always thought all those trademark design bits on a Lamborghini like the pointed rear bumper and the decklid shapes were all for vanity. I had no idea that they were all introduced as solutions to bypass laws and the sort of things, and became part of the trademark Lamborghini styling. Thank you Harry and the EVO team, your brilliant review of Lamborghinis have reignited my childhood passion in these beautiful cars.

great as usual, just a few things. The body height was changed during the production of the LP400S the early models were lower, they can be distinguished from the late models by the "Bravo" wheels, mounted on the early, low roof models. The model in the video doesn't have them - either it has had its wheels changed or it isn't a low roof model. Bob Wallace was the chief test driver at the time and a meccanic. The responsible engineer (for the countach) was Paolo Stanzani.

Thanks for the great Lamborghini History. I've learnt lots here. In the 1970s I was lucky enough to have a ride in a Countach and I fell in love with it. I still drool over it. Forget all the Supercars that came later, I'd go for the 70s Tractor. But, the top speed baffles me. Jay Leno says not more than 175mph. However in the 70s I was told that a Countach did a one-off top speed, on a test track of 223mph! A speed that held for many years. So what speed is correct? Bearing in mind that this was on a Test Track.

One thing that I was interested to learn was the evolution of early fuel injection. Domestic cars started on throttle body injection for a couple of years before going to multi port injection. I was wondering if Lamborghini went through the same in fuel management, and whether both versions were embraced on which model.

Good to see all those sub-models of models of Lamborghinis in this but believe it or not there are a whole lot more! I went on for an hour about the Diablo alone with all its different models for some college presentation years ago, here's the sub-models I can remember: -Diablo -Diablo Roadster -Diablo 2000/SPR -Coatl Diablo -Affolter Diablo Roadster -Diablo GT Evolution -Diablo GTR Evolution -Diablo GT -Diablo GT-R -Diablo GT-1 -Diablo GT-2 -Diablo SE30 -Diablo SE30 Jota -Diablo SE Roadster -Diablo SE30 Jota R (there were two variants of this one) -Diablo SV -Diablo SSV -Diablo SV-R -Diablo SV Roadster -Diablo VS -Diablo VT -Diablo VT-R -Diablo VT Roadster -Diablo VTTT There were even more than the ones in this list in fact and then there's the ones that went under the same names but changed design over the years (e.g. the standard Diablo's front grill lights' positions). Then there were the rare prototypes in the 90s like the Lamborghini Canto and Lamborghini/Italdesign Cala (yeah OK, that one was a V10). There was also a Diablo SE30 which the owner decided to paint dolphins all over for some reason!
