Ed this guy is unbelievable I attempted to try and play along with him. Yeah I was left in the dust and almost made me want to sell my kit. This dude is a beast with it. I just wish he would do more DMB covers.

DUDE! I've been playing drums since I was in 4th grade(a long time ago).....I'm 54 now....I wish I had just a little bit of your dedication and talent. Not even on my best day could I figure out those time signatures and changes in that song. I know Carter laid it down first but holy cow dude, that is the most awesome cover I've EVER heard. And you sure look like you're having fun doing it too. You have been given a gift young man, keep the videos coming.

Congrats mate - I haven't found any other drum covers that come this to close to Carter's chops. For everyone complaining about all the faces - everyone has their drumming face. Playing drums (especially like this) is an incredibly fun experience, so why not cut loose and enjoy yourself?

I HATE when people make those sorts of complaints. They're childish really. We heard that about Dave and his leg moves when he plays. Really..you decide you aren't going to like an awesome band because you don't like the front man's moves when he's getting into a song. Eff ALL the way off!! Used to hear that about Natalie Merchant, too and her dancing when she sang. What the hell people? Enjoy the music or stay the hell home. Sheesh!

I am not a drummer. I don’t own a drum kit. I don’t know how I surfed over to this. That being said, I am amazed at the talent and artistry to play the drums like this, @Harry. Watching this gives me the same pleasure as looking at a Rembrandt painting. Mastery, precision, and something much more than the sum of parts. It is like a magician sharing a secret, and yet the “trick” turns out to be... magic.

I loved how more and more of your personal style came out as the song progressed. Began as a damn convincing Carter emulation and ended with a spirited twist on the song. I love when you time your hits to coincide with the other instruments being played, like with the sax at 4:59-5:02

Carter the king of the hihat syncopated rhythms. This is making me want to go works on my hi hat chops, the ability to play the less expected notes is such an art. Harry is killing it!!!!! Playing open handed style is such a fun way to play. I’ve been working in my left hand/arm to try and strengthen it so it can groove like my right side. As of now it’s a bit goofy

That's awesome! You total nailed that. I'm sure very few people understand the hours you have spent behind a kit to be able to do that. But when you can follow Carter like that you have pretty much arrived. I cant imagine what could top that. Great job. Your hard work really shows.

Your playing is truly Other-Worldly *** thank you, Harry for being the inspiration (to this) 59 year old broad who now after a 35 year absence from (behind) the kit finds herself hoping to be able to regain (her) my "Once Upon a Time" reasonably decent chops.
