The casting was perfect. He and Ralph Fiennes were both just perfection in their portrayal. I love Allan Rickmans twist on Snape but it obviously didn’t quite fit the book in age or tone in a few points.

Unless I'm misremembering, I think Hagrid saying he was a "little fella" just meant little from Hagrid's perspective, so he wasn't necessarily a small person in general, just small to Hagrid. Regardless though... "mating" doesn't require folks to do it standing up, so I don't really think height is an issue, lol. I don't think he somehow transformed her into a human. As long as lady giants have the same plumbing downstairs as regular women, I don't see why they couldn't have mated. 🤷🏻‍♀ May not have necessarily been uh "satisfying" for her in that way, but if she cared about Hagrid's father then, y'know.. they did it enough to have Hagrid anyway.

My theory on Hagrid’s wand is that Albus Dumbledore used the Elder wand to repair Hagrid’s wand. Hagrid kept it secret in his umbrella.

I've been wondering why Dumbledore didn't repair Ron's wand using the Elder wand. But then I suppose he'd be expected to repair any other student's broken wands also. Making the Ministry want to investigate how he was able to do so. Most likely leading to Fudge discovering Dumbledore held the Elder Wand. Which Dumbledore didn’t want anyone to know he had it in the first place and Grindlevald all but spat in Voldemort’s face when he asked where it had been taken.

Hagrid was a giant in ways that he had a great heart and sense of empathy. The fact that he was able to bong with that many magical creatures makes his just as great as Newt Scamander. The fact that he’s a half giant makes him a special person and creature in his own right. The fact that he had a deep conscience and a natural gift with creatures earnt his position as professor.

Uhm, Hagrid and Gwarp - perfect examples how it could happen. Not ALL giants were like that. Like you said yourself, read the books. It was just presumed all giants were like that, because of limited perceptions of nonwizards that most wizards have. They were intelligent enough to learn and adapt and could be emotional. It's s just, no one really took the time to work with them because they never gave them a chance. They were scared of them, and assumed.

I always felt like Hagrid, although he is brave, should have been a Hufflepuff. I am a Hufflepuff and I feel like he envelops a lot of the characteristics that make someone a Hufflepuff- he is loyal, he is empathetic to all beings, he is a hard worker, and he is fair. I think if he had been put into that house rather than Gryffindor he probably wouldn't have made the comments about how "hufflepuffs are a bunch of duffers" and I think he would have had an easier time at school.

Because the ministry ordered to have it broke after getting sent to Azkaban. Even after being freed, he was never allowed to possess another wand or use magic again, but he kept the two pieces of the original, then placed it into the hollow handle of the umbrella so that way no one would ever notice, not unless he wanted you too. He can't produce nearly the same amount of magic as he could prior to being broke, and no, he didn't even get close to finishing school... if somsone says, 'he would of been extremely powerful if he hadn't got in trouble', they're lying, no one knows one way or the other, it's impossible to say...There's nothing that says he was a very good student either, so I'd imagine he would of been towards the bottom of his class.

I'm rereading the series now notes: Most adults(including Hagrid) are pretty trash. Hagrid kills the Dursleys. He took the boat and left them on the rock...they died. They are dead. He needs AA for his drinking.
