At 2:40 you say that the headline phase establishes who is the 1st player. But my rulebook says the USSR player always goes first. Which is it?

The soviets go first except during the Headline Phase where both sides choose a card to play face down. The card with the highest ops points goes first. Ties go to US and then play begins with the soviets.

Headline event and other such rules that are completely wrong made us struggle when we were playing the game as some rules were completely wrong in the video.

Actually, the video does not indicate who goes first during the action round. All of that stuff about someone going first only applies to the headline phase.

@@crookedtool Actually the video does indicate. Watch from 1:45 to 2:05. The video states the headline phase player order continues through the following 6 action rounds. At no point does it say the USSR player always goes first in the action rounds like it does in the rules.

Hey Ben, Gratz for the video. I have a quick comment: when you were explaining "Control" scoring you said all battlegrounds and more of the yellow countries. That is not quite accurate: you only need more countries in general. In Europe, for example, if you have 5 BG + 6 normal (11 total) and your opponent has 10 normal, you win by control (11 vs 10).

Same for Domination. You only need more total countries (and more battleground), not more non-battleground.

No, your base score will start with only one of those three configurations.
