It was more like wants to win by flooding zerglings into a full wall with 3 cannons, 2 adepts, and a shield battery. When his initial attempt failed, he built more zerglings and charged into the wall again, but now a colossus was there too, and it surprised him to find out that lings don't counter a colossus behind a full wall. He lost all his lings, his opponent transitioned into skytoss, and what does he make to counter? About 5 corruptors, then it's back to more zerglings. Believe it or not, that wasn't enough corruptors, and his zerglings didn't finish off the rest of the air forces, so he lost. When he lost, he said to himself "God, if even the zergling can't beat this dirty skytoss strategy, then surely nothing can beat it. Therefore, it must be IMBA. I'll send the complaint form right away!"

​@@Kanehelax kind of yes kind of no. Ling flood can work against skytoss player but idea is to kill them before they get out proper army so it fails miserably as soon as protoss has more than 2 carriers

@@Kanehelax no. zerglings would still be a useful unit for harassment purposes, but they wouldn’t counter skytoss. you NEED to get corruptors, vipers, infestors, etc.

@@ChannelMiner on paper, in a vacuum, libs counter tanks, but that never materializes because vikings, one of those 3 mandatory units for tvt. So they'll shoot down libs before they can effect change.

As much as I, as a Zerg, relate to failing over and over again against mech, I do try to actually make the units that counter the Tanks and Vikings. I’m not going to box myself out of using Vipers because, "The top can Zergs win on Ling-Bane only." Yes, all my Vipers get sniped and I pull the Tanks such that they kill my pitiful ground army quicker, but at least I know I lost because my micro is garbage and not because I am just restricting myself from playing the other half of the race’s tech tree.

honestly, i'd prefer if he actually double downed on bio and just built 10 more barracks and hope to drown his opponent with marine marauder. Instead of trying to shift to mech to late while saying he doesn't do that.

He couldve done that with drops and stuff for sure. But also would've had to go up to 90-95 workers. You can't flood off of 75 workers into a sieged up mech army

Seiko also just wins if he runs into the main and kills the production with this first yolo a move up the ramp. And it triggers me. I get triggered by these "yolo-terrans", most commonly found in the D1-M2 MMR range, who just stim in with no information and hope to catch you off-guard. What triggers me even more is that after his yolo-move, which happened to work out, Seiko DOES NOT GO FOR THE FINISH and instead tries to attack the 4th base again, where the rest of the army of his opponent is. It hurts to watch T_T And to top it all off: If he had actually gone for the main base after his dump stim in and won the game right there, he'd think that it was a good move to pull off and remained a yolo-terran for the rest of his life. In that case we'd never have seen this game, so I guess we can be a little thankful for that.

A bit of a weird comment in a game where the opponent used a really bad tactic, a very vulnerable unit composition and the complainer actually had a very good strategy for about 11 minutes. The complainer really fucked up, but it really wasn't due to some kind of tactical or strategical superiority from the opponent.

Hmm, does this look like he didn't know how many Vikings there were? Because outside of perhaps going Battlecruisers or dropping all around the place, it seems by far the simplest response. I'm guessing there's the issue of being afraid that you are just going to be matched Viking for Viking or even ending up having less of them. Honestly no clue as I barely ever watch TvT. Edit: I'm asking because him saying that he didn't want to build things that don't belong into his composition, seems like an excuse after the fact. It seemed more like he got stuck on his build/composition and didn't know how to best respond.

Seiko supposedly a bio player but playing a mech style game with 50% mech and 50% bio and poor air control. If he went pure bio with medivacs to drop the main and run into the 2nd or third when tanks unsiege maybe his greedy style would have paid off.

One of bio's greatest strengths over mech is the stronger air transition cause you don't sink all your gas into factory units. Amazing how he got to masters playing bio without realizing that.

As an honorable member of the protoss race, I refuse to use colossus, high templar or disruptors. Terran bio has to kill their enemies targeting only one unit at a time, so the only honorable thing to do is to never use any aoe spells or units. Anyway, this is why I think terran is imbalanced.

I'm a bio player. If you don't kill mech in the debut and let him to entrench, you can only do it via mass sky units, but it will take a lot of time. I'd like to hear an advice how to dismantle Mech quicker. I dislike TvT so much that I pretty much switched to being Protoss these days...

@@DavidWilson-mi3uk well no: the problem is that I can break mech player defenses when he is on 2 bases nor I can get Liberators with Range and mass Viking production before he turtles on 3 bases. So I guess I need to deviate from standard play a lot more early but I don't know how

I think Seiko would've benefited from a couple of Thors, but BCs, as he said in his complaint form, would not have been the correct answer. He should've also been producing Vikings earlier and not, I say again NOT!!!, running his entire bio army into siege lines of multiple tanks and libs pre-sieged and waiting. In my experience, bio thrives on drop harassment, yet we saw none of that out of Seiko.

I also wouldn't call GypsyDanger the best mech player, but he was perfectly situated to hard-counter Seiko. Good awareness of his opponent's movement outside his bases, decent siege positions, and a classic turtle style of mech play served him well this game.

Sometimes the advice from harstem though is “should’ve paid more attention to your army” when their attention is already heavily divided. I don’t think thats good advice because that really does mean you have to do more than your opponent which is imba. The advice should be get better vision before you move which I don’t hear as much.
