Yeah when I ride my 22mm Odyssey bb with my eclat Maverick cranks I get a sound on the right side mostly sounding like creaking but also popping or something so I take everything apart an retighten the sprocket an pedals make sure everything is okay then is fine for about 10 mins of solid feeling setup then happens again

Maybe the bolt that holds the crank arms onto the bottom bracket are loose. Tighten them, and use blue thread locker to keep them tight. Maybe the bottom bracket is loose, try tightening the bottom bracket, or perhaps the bearings are dry. If so, try greasing the bottom bracket bearings. Basically, if the crank arms are tight, and the bottom bracket adjustment is correct, not loose, and you are hearing creaking, and feeling grinding, its bottom bracket bearings. The bearings may just need greased, they may need to be replaced. They take a beating!

Maybe the chain is a little loose. Maybe the chain is too tight. The front chain drive sprocket might need spacers, to line up exactly with the rear sprocket. Sometimes replacing the rear wheel, the wheel is not exactly straight, causing a little offset angle between the sprocket on the rear wheel and the chain, and that will cause some grinding noises. Also, some chain lubes are heavier, and thicker, and some are thin. The thicker chain lubes can help to quiet noisy chains. Sometimes, inexpensive sprockets, front or rear, will cause chain grinding noises.

I have a question... is that a sealed or unsealed bottom bracket? My $600 bike has the exact same bottom bracket and it’s been making a creaking noice whenever I pedal. My guess is that there’s sand trapped inside the bearings but I’m not sure how to clean it. And how can I replace it with a sealed bottom bracket?

Make sure that it is NOT the pedals. If you greased the crank arms as shown in this video, and are certain that it is the bottom bracket, then you can disassemble the bottom bracket, and grease the bearings. Park Tools has excellent videos posted on KZbin which shows how to work on bicycles.

If just the bolt is stripped, you can buy a new bolt, if the threads in the bottom bracket are stripped, you buy a new bottom bracket. You could bring it to a machine shop to get rethreaded, but would cost too much.

Tighten the crank arms bolts. If they are tight, and there is still a creaking noise, grease will dampen the noise, caused from the movement between the crank arm and the bottom bracket. There will be minimal wear caused from the tiny amount of movement between the crank arm and the bottom bracket. So, no, there will be minimal wear on the crank arm, if tightenened properly. The bottom bracket spindles are case hardened drop forged steel, and ain't gonna be affected. In my humble opinion. Ride on!

If its a new bike, the chain will stretch. New chains have to be re-tightened a few times. If its an older chain, then maybe that wheel just was not tightened enough. Make sure there is no grease on the frame, at the wheel drop out.

That particular grease in the video is Park Tool PPL1. Any grease will work. Waterproof greases work best, like marine type greases used on boat trailer bearings. The particular type of grease that Park uses is a polyurea based waterproof grease.

Any grease will work. I use waterproof marine type wheel bearing grease. The same type used on wheel bearings for boat trailers. You can get It at Wal-Mart. The grease used in this video is Park Tools brand. Its excellent grease, but costs a lot more than buying the cartridges that are sized for use in grease guns.
