Harvesting AeroGarden Lettuce

Close up and easier view of harvesting lettuce from your AeroGarden pods. I will be transplanting this lettuce and wanted to show an easier view of how I harvest.

But after you cut off what you want to harvest, you need to make sure that some of the roots can still get air and not sink down into the water

I’ve found it best if you do. You let some grow a bit and then pull them as “baby” lettuce.

Will the lettuce continue to regrow for as long as you take care of it? I have the harvest 6 pod with the lettuce seed mix

Eventually it will get too tall and you will have to replant.

Use the hair cut method and it should just keep growing.

Do you put the pod back in the aerogarden? How do you manage the roots?

Yes and you can trim the roots if they are too difficult to get back in.

Can i do this with Chinese cabbage as well? Can i leave it to grow in the aerogarden or in a glass like you had ? I live in an apt so no room at this time.

Hmmm not sure. It would be worth a try but it probably won’t grow as strong. My lettuce in the glass jars grow but I would say they are not as big ours as the ones in the aerogarden.

Once it’s grown enough to harvest, I usually do so I once a week by going outside in.
