I bought the same saw about the time you did. Very happy with it! Similarly, I wouldn't change much. I sculpted inside the T fitting for the blade guard dust collection hose to streamline airflow, which helped. I also shaped the lower leading edges of the side pieces of the blade dust shroud, so they slide up onto wood better & don't catch like they did. Coarse thread would be less tedious than fine threads for the cabinet door screw--easy enough to drill it out & replace with 1/4-20 nutsert. Finally, I made a new bracket to tuck the power switch back 2", so it doesn't catch on anything...after I broke the red button off! I have a video about the bomber mobile base I made. And I filled in both sides with cabinets for table router, blade storage, etc. Harvey has updated miter gauge and rip fence. The fence is crazy expensive at $1,100...must be a lot of people with more money to spend than me!

I have the same saw, and I also disable the overarm dust collector and replaced it with a separate shop vac. The thing is, you almost HAVE TO use the main dust collection. If you don’t the inside of the saw - in the internal hose - will clog up badly. The switch should be better placed. Other than that I love it.

I love mine too. The bar definitely should be longer. Pleasure to use all around though.

Question. Started mine for the first time today.. have you experienced a vibration when the blade is coming to a stop after powering down?
@cannonwoodworking591711 ай бұрын
No Sir I havent. Make sure the nut on the arbor is tight and make sure the saw blade is not warped or twisted. If it still vibrates on shut down, Contact Harvey asap. They will work with you. I hope this helps

@@cannonwoodworking5917 thanks for taking the time to reply. A couple days after posting my question it started to squeal a little on startup, which immediately made me think of the drive belt. Turns out, that the belt just needed more tension. That solved both problems.

@shannonchance3317 that's awesome. Glad to hear that
