I'm glad the second saw arrived in good shape. It looks like quite a beefy saw that should serve you well for many years. I honestly had no idea harvey even made tablesaws. How has your CNC been treating you? Has your side hustle with it been lucrative? And I know it's weird to ask, but you mind sharing the artist and title of the song that plays around 14:00? I love the beat. Looking forward to more of your vids!
@vanstray Жыл бұрын
Thanks, the CNC has been treating me well so far. I haven't been pushing that area of the side hustle much lately. I've been working more on the setup and content side of things, but when the projects do come it's very handy to have. As for the song it's DJ Williams - Dusty Fingers I found it on the youtube music library.

@@vanstray You've got the videography thing down to a science. Your sub count will balloon up once you start dropping a bunch of project videos. 👍 Making a crosscut sled for the new saw? Oh, and thanks for the song info.
@vanstray Жыл бұрын
@@NWGR thanks for that! Yes, I'm definitely making a cross cut sled and an infeed table. I have some Walnut veneered plywood I picked from scraps that would look real fancy as a sled.

Great video, I've seen a few of these. Hope you enjoy your saw, and I can't imagine how you felt watching that falling off the truck
@phototec Жыл бұрын
Great video, can't wait to see how you use the new table saw. however, I am interested in what happened with the first delivery that feel off the truck, how was that damage handled, did the shipper pay for the damage or what happens in a delivery gone wrong like that? Thanks
@vanstray Жыл бұрын
So I sent the video to Harvey as soon as the truck left and within a few hours they responded back saying a new delivery was on the way. They labeled it as a warranty replacement so everything was taken care of behind the scenes and I just got a shipping confirmation.
@phototec Жыл бұрын
@@vanstray Ok, glad they made it right. Did the delivery truck driver take the damaged box back right after he dropped it on the ground?
@vanstray Жыл бұрын
@@phototec oh that was a hot mess of a situation too - I recorded the aftermath kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoSQfoOOrMmdgKM

@@vanstray Yeah, I would've been like "here, let me help you get this back on the truck" lol.....but I'm glad to hear everything worked out. I just emailed the Harvey people today as I'm interested in a saw, and they said that if I live on a cul-de-sac where a tractor trailer can't get through, it's an extra $95 shipping fee (I'm assuming for a smaller truck like you had that showed up)

I am newly acquainted with Harvey. what a great video. Hat's off to your pleasant attitude respecting the first and second delivery. Thanks for taking the time to share your tips and successes with the set up. I am anxious to hear about how the saw performs after you have put the machine thru it's paces.

My question is did you return or refuse delivery of the last saw and whether or not there were complications in that process. Cudos to you for keeping a clear head cause i wouldve made that last delivery driver figure it out himself, his problem not mine
@JeronimoStilton146 ай бұрын
If you look at the video he made on the dropping he does explain that he refused delivery essentially right after it hit the ground, then helped the guy get it loaded back into the truck
