Clearly a man who hasn't used a pallet jack, let alone a pallet jack in combination with a truck lift before. You use the jack to turn the load around while in the truck, push the load onto the lift, then lower the pallet jack until the pallet is sitting on the lift. You only raise the jack again once the lift is on the ground.

I've had a similar experience, ordered a brand new fridge & freezer combo from the supplier in Australia. When it was delivered the fridge & freezer compressor were both damaged by the other stuff that was being in the same truck. I'd immediately called the supplier on a video call & showed them the damage & ask for compensation for damaged goods as it was still under there insurance & I didn't signed off on the delivery
