I always heard them referred to as Harvey (Fuqua) & The Moonglows. Harvey was one of ‘the geniuses of Motown” along with Berry Gordy & Smokey Robinson.

For most of their recording career they were simply The Moonglows, one of the best of the best of the groups. Hervey Fuqua generally alternated lead chores with Bobby Lester. After Lester and the other original members (Prentiss Barnes & "Peter" Graves) left circa 1958, Harvey connected with a new group of back-up singers, and recorded as Harvey & The Moonglows, includng the classic recording of Ten Commandments Of Love (1958).

Never had the opportunity to work with The Moonglows but I remember singing along in the background on "Sincerely" when I was part of The Utopians. That group was the fore runner of The "Original" Duprees of which I am a founding member.

Does anyone remember what Harvey did with the band New Birth?
