Great interview. From a big picture perspective, Brett's Milk Shake theory has made sense since the first time I heard him share it. But there are so many variables affecting this theory, that it makes it impossible to predict the timing of it. There are BIG variables that in my opinion are dramatically ignored and most experts don't mention. For example: -1 The Fed may have stopped QE, but not the unlimited money printing, ex the "inflation reduction act" and how those dollars will flood right the American landscape. -2 What happens when and if there's coordinated dumping of US treasuries by other central banks. -3 How will the stock market rise in an economy with double digit unemployment and inflation? -4 Live by the sword, die by the sword. The US $ is the sword, therefore Americans in the end will suffer the most, and the US will fold before anyone does. -5 Perhaps the biggest Variable of all... what if all of this has levels of Design and Outcomes, including COVID shutdowns?

Milkshake Theory is True & becomes important when the US contracts the money supply. However if the money printers get started & interest rates drop then USD weakens. The milkshake theory becomes relevant when the following occurs: 1. US interest rates increase 2. The FED starts offloading the balance sheet & stops bond purchases 3. It contracts the money supply

Yes! Everyone I follow Luke, Brent, Steve Van Metre, Rick Rule etc all come to the same point where avg folks are going to feel a lot of pain (and have been saying the pain poit finally long time) I just wish people didn't feel the need to pit people against each other. I'd love to put all these views on a mine node to show where they split and where they all come together.

Even as a welcome by-product, $ USD as a weapon (next to political & military warfare) makes perfect sense in light of the old but still valide doctrine formulated by Zbigniew Brzeziński. Read his THE GRAND CHESSBOARD In there, the author (1) says that the USA is and needs to be THE NUMBER ONE POWER. (2) He identified potential challengers to that status quo and WHAT to do to prevent any challenge at all. So, in that book you find the amazing sentence: "The key to destabilize Russia is Ukraine!" Yes, higher interest rates are required domestically, but not worldwide, because so many regions/countries can not afford that - for example EU southern countries. "Get in line!" is the message! What I missed a bit here: How to invest from here on?

Invest in too big to fail companies where cash flow will continously go. It's a self fulfilling prophecy and it's disgusting but look out for your best interests not others because the fed is to blame

You have Bric on one side & G7 on the other. So we see both Rubal & USD are both increasing because of the fuel crisis to me they are actually working together & wink at each other as the split in allegiance benefits both Russia & USA but burns the minor players

The US Govt needs to cut its budget by 50%, pay down the debt, and EndTheFed. There is a shortage of everything except the US Govt spending money they don't have. The US is enslaved to the Federal Reserve through debt and getting off the gold standard. EVERYBODY JUST IGNORES THAT THE US GOVT NEEDS TO CUT SPENDING.

Fed needs to inflate currency abroad and contract currency at home. Not sure how to do that but they need to create a hawkish policy at home with a dovish policy abroad. Maybe that's what they are on to, I don't know. Love comment that US is global hegemon.. absolutely true

What's to say that other countries wouldn't do what the USA is doing to Russia or other enemies? Countries with dollar debt could join the China-Russia-Saudi-India-Iran economic system and just turn their backs on dollar debt.
@jaydub5702 жыл бұрын
You’re more likely to see similar to Sri Lanka turning their back on China’s debt and their debt diplomacy. Developing nations stuck in the debt trap financing will do this. The world can’t escape the EuroDollar until there is a replacement. Bitcoin…no. Yuan…hell no.

The reason why the fed uses QE is due to the fact that there is a shortage of US dollar in the US economy because too much is being used internationally to prop up the world global trade order.
