MR 300 80 years edition. 360 hours with 2 Serbia Xross races and many more local ones and still no problem with starter. One starter brushes change at 200 hours. The needle you chose has nice characteristics but it's most likely your problem for fuel economy. NECW or NEDW are the best for fuel economy but I don't like their linear feeling. N3CH really great needle for fuel economy and feeling on technical staff. A small flywheel weight does marvels for stalling. I have also checked back to back a Gomez replica wich comes stock with 36 carb and we installed a 38 to see the difference. 36 is I think snapier but ends too soon. With the 38 this engine puls really strong and keeps revving. Sorry If I wrote too much 😅😅😅 but as the Greek importer, I have check many of them and I really love the brand. Keep up all this great content.

I have been waiting so long for you to review this bike. The fact that your opinions echo mine makes me trust my judgement way more. If Gasgas had this starter dialed from day one im sure this bike would have been 10x more popular today. I never had plans on updating my 2018 300GP but that 2025 engine might have me reconsidering. Thank you for putting in the time to do these videos, your knowledge and opinions are appreciated 🙏

I had three 300's and they all had starting problems sooner or later. Like you I always started the bikes with the kicker when cold. First bike started to make problems with 60 hours, second with about 80 and I replaced the starter using a cheap Chinese KTM starter. It lasted far over 100 hours. Third bike gave me headaches at 10 hours, did a few things, replaced the battery and starter relay and had no more problems for over 100 hours. I guess with the new 2025 models that get a brand new motor this kinda problems will be gone. Other than the starting system and the stupid light/start switches these are brilliant bikes... I tried the 36 Keihin on this bike and it tamed it significantly. Loved the low down grunt and smoothness but it did not pick up as quickly as with the 38. you go up a hill and suddenly there is a log...with the 38 a whack of the throttle cleared the situation easily. Not so with the 36, it requires a lot more clutch action. After that I changed back to the 38. Like you I binned the N1EF needle and went for a NEDH. Looking forward reading/seeing your experiences with the 36 Keihin.

I have a boat load of hours on my Rieju pro 300. It’s been flawless aside from having to replace my starter. Which was 100% my fault, as I would use it from dead cold. It’s a restart system, and should only be used once the bike is warmed up. With a Lectron or smart carb. The fuel economy goes way up. Mine is very fuel efficient for the hard enduro type riding I do. The air filter cover is simple to put back on. The key is to sit on the ground, and watch where it clips in. Also, you must know the proper way it goes on at the top as well. Once you know this, it’s super easy and doesn’t require tools. If you’re using a funnel web, make sure the filter is seated all the way around. You need to get your hand in there and feel around and truly make sure. It’s larger than the stock filter and makes it a really tight fit. The transmission and clutch feel is best when using GRO oil. Anything else and the shifts are a little notchy, with some drag. I believe they are shipped new with GRO. The clutch plates are pretty big, and I’ve had no issues. Some people have worn them out early.

Good to see a real world review after putting some hours on. Some of the cons are pretty minor though...air filter access difficult ? Try honda crf access! Sub frame bolts backed off ? Its a non counerbalanced 2t, first job before first ride is to go over it with the loctite! Dont think pegs or chain guide are worse than stock items on other bikes. Never had any throttle csble issues. Starter? If it does go replacement is easy...betas you basically need to drop the engine to get it out! Do agree with the high gas consumption though. 13 lutre tank is available from rieju. Keep up the good work Rich

28:36 i'm not sure if it's been mentioned on here at this point. However, I do have the m. R pro 300, which comes with the closed cartridge suspension, and it is significantly different. Then the mid valving, that is on the race edition that might be something worth looking at. Also, these bikes are so easy to Dial in to your specific writing. It's amazing I've changed out the head on mine. I put an S3 head on it to actually tone it down and flatten the curve for my off-road riding, which has been what I do the most of granted, if IHOP on my buddy's bike or even my son's bike that are riewho's. It's a different feel again, altogether, they have a different head and it feels like you're riding a completely different bike, so very easy to tune. So to speak for your writing style and also worth mentioning the jetting that we've done over here. West at moto works in Ogden, we're able to get about 70 miles to 80 miles out of a tank, which is much better than the stock settings.
@notgamingwithmax13 күн бұрын
Picked up a 2023 last year and really love the ergos. Of all the two stroke 300's I've ridden this model had the best seat to peg height. For me the suspension was pretty darn stiff for an average rider riding Michigan singletrack so my bike is currently at the dealer getting resprung and revalved. Fingers crossed they get it dialed for me. With smoother suspension it will be amazing. Stock gearing on the 23 is a little tall. I'll probably swap the rear sprocket. I ride roads to the trails though so I won't be going too low.

Love seeing the Rieju get some love from my favorite tire company. On my 3rd bike with this same chassis with over 600 mostly trouble free hours. By far the most playful feeling 300 that I've ridden but its also super planted in the rocks. My latest bike is a MR200 racing and its surprised the heck out of me. I did the Iowa hard enduro with it this last year and would've been the top finishing Reiju rider if Quinn wouldn't have showed up. The little 200 had no issues blasting snow banks and climbing mountain singletrack up to 13k feet in CO this summer. JD jet kit in the stock pwk36 was dialed from 9k to 13k feet.

Silicone on the subframe bolts...absorbs vibes way better. I love the Rieju, but... the oil fill hole is a joke. I dig that throttle you have, all I did was use a MP cable that threads in.... I tried a 24v conversion, worked great. Ended up with a AGN801 battery, also had a super trick bendix set up from Russia. 36mm carb worked real well...people dont read their manual and understand using the kicker is important. all this and it is going injected in '25. I have 3 2018 husky 300s. 300+ hours on them and never had a starter problem, My floats have been sticking and flooding the engines and i have to crank the crap out of the starters to get them to start. never had a starter issue. 30hrs even 100hrs with a starter failure is just disgraceful. My brembo/magura brakes and clutchs have been amazing. All these cheap new factory parts make me sick. I will buy more or the 2017-2018 bikes but never a newer 300.
