Fantastic interview, relate so much to the algorithm vs artist point. And your discussion around how you’re forgotten in a flick of the finger was spot on

I can so relate to Hasan's earlier days and you guys' struggle in 2019. I feel like that's where I am right now. The money is not coming up in yet, but I enjoy the content that I'm creating and the little bit of validation that I'm getting is enough to motivate to keep up on going. To keep up on pushing. I don't know how close I might be to striking gold.

This was a killer episode- it's freaking Hasan! I love that theres so much learning happening for you guys and him. The convo around the KZbin "take a break" bell and what came from that was genuinely thought provoking because of the differences of opinion on it. It's amazing the ideas shared on this channel, with the hope of impacting everyday creators, is just as impactful to household artists like Hasan. I could have watched 3 more hours of this. This is depth and I'm here for it

I think Hasan's storytelling ability is what has separated him from other comedians and that's why he's won 2 Peabody awards. I've been listening to the audiobook 'How to Tell a Story by The Moth (think a standup comedy set but strictly for nonfiction storytelling), and Hasan has attributed his time at the Moth for sharpening his ability to tell different levels of emotional stories from light-hearted, to sad, to ones with a more serious note. If you need an example, just look up the Storytime he did with Jimmy Fallon. The difference is CLEAR.

Great job Colin and Samir, this interview was your best to date. Hasan Minhaj has been a huge inspiration to us for years. He is unapologetically smart, a proud son of immigrants, and shines a light on so many important topics that don’t get enough airtime in our current media climate. Its like Democracy Now but with enough funny to make it digestible to everyone. Thank you for this incredible interview , its great to hear about the process behind Hasan’s content. PS : Hasan for president !

The work that is worth the 5 year bet is something that lets the viewer better understand the artist. When I watch a special like The King’s Jester that goes so deep into this creator’s life and unique experiences, those are the creators I will remember, return to, and tell others to watch.

The two different perspectives-Hasan's being a popular creator on KZbin and the Internet before the modern day creator economy, and Colin and Samir's now popular creators in that economy-really make this conversation thrive. There's a lot of shared tissue between the two, but they're distinctly unique.
