I’ve done a lot of rock climbing of all types in my life, but this shit is crazy. Couldn’t be me. I love the feeling of climbing but only when it’s as safe as I can make it you know? Like when I lead climb, I’m cautious, I place frequent anchors. Most free solo climbers die falling, eventually, obviously. Something to think about.

Dan Osman - rope swing failure Wolfgang - car crash Marc Andre - avalanche Hansjörg - alpine route descent (with david lama) dean potter - wingsuit accident Reardon - swept to sea The only notable ones I think are Howell and Bachar. I hate when ppl spew random shit (i expect better from hasan fans than other communities)

@@K1ngju Chill bro, I was speaking anecdotally, not authoritatively. Should I edit my comment to clarify that? Free soloing is a pretty small community, but there’s still lots of non-famous, non-notable climbers out there doing it. I used to rock climb very seriously when I lived in CO, it was my main thing, I organized my life around it. Of the twelve or so guys and gals I know who were habitual third-classers, nine of them died of falls eventually. It took 20 years for some of them, much less for others. But the world is dangerous, and I’d bet even free solo climbers are much more likely to die from heart disease or a car crash than they are from a fall. Still an insane thing to do above 5.9 or so. Anyway, take it easy, don’t get so riled up when some nobody like me makes a silly comment.

It’s a professional stunt climber, he practices and researchers for months before a climb, and informs the premises just enough so that they can’t effectively stop him. The only way it could be any safer would be if it was allowed and people knew not to stand directly under him or rattle the windows. The actual climb is way safer than it looks.
