Asango the issue is that most of his damage isn't close range. its mid-range, at the end of his q.

Let's say you were to only hit the knockup on the third cast (due to it's range being closer than on the first two), the total damage on max level will still be 340 + 360% AD physical damage. The maximum damage you can deal with this ability is 422 + 450% AD, that's almost a full single target Katarina ultimate. Riot never intended you to always hit every single knockup, which is why they made the first two hard to hit.

Ironically, this was Old Aatrox's problem, to survive he needed to have tank items, to do any dmg he needed dmg, but if you tried to do both you would end up with a strange hybrid build that was just sort of meh at both things.

I think the best fix after playing him a lot on the pbe is to first and foremost give him 3 dashes. Being able to reposition 3 times instead of twice will make the q far more reliable just allow the ad to only stack twice. Make the passive only trigger on large monsters/champions or lower the CD on it, his flat damage reliance makes it impossible for him to 1v1 tanks. Change the w it's shit, bad, useless, clunky, etc, and the q is pretty good early game but it needs to hit harder mid to late game since it's literally his only actual ability that does damage. Also give him a new ult world ender is literally the current aatrox passive moved to an ult except you fear minions and run fast for a second.

Yeah actually, his clunky healing off physical damage, and ultimate revive with bonus AD, just look like filler options that were put in here to make the champion somehow be worthy of being called Aatrox... it's not. His revive originally served the purpose of encouraging his risky gameplay of playing with close to death regen. Most of his kit is fine on its own, it has nice synergy, just give him a different ultimate and call him differently, as a 3rd Darkin.

i found running aftershock has done well for me in lane. lets me soak a lot of dmg and go in when my passive is up. the more games i get under him the more i see when his cd's are down you have to play around holding your W to disengage them til your Q is back up and i think you are right sunfire into BC then DD/SV then steraks will probably be his go to build. he is good into melee comps but not against kite/peel comps hard for him to engage. i guess you can build yomu if they full peel. thats just my take so far.

Literally all current Aatrox need was a slight passive rework. Maybe something like the bloodpool stacks don't decay nearly as fast and your ult can be used to detonate them. Number can be change so I don't mind that much. But there is many thing that fail as a concept. 1.Why the hell his Q lock him in place? It already hard to hit for maximum effect , so why the hell it lock him in place too? 2.From first reason, they give him E so he can adjust his position. But why don't make him able to move while casting Q in the first place? This is 2 skill combo,people . but even use 2 skill combine you can't even reliable hit your target. And both of them have such a long cooldown early. Why??????? 20 whole second for a small dash? 3.Why the hell made him into Juggernaut class? Old Aatrox is a diver , and he can dive really really hard with his passive and Q. Turning him into Juggernaut completely remove this aspect of him which is the one thing he really great at. 4.All Juggernaut and I mean "ALL OF THEM" sustain themselves using % hp, either directly or not(Morde life steal for % hp and Skarner has shield base on his% hp). Meaning their can build small amount of AD item and still heal a shit ton. Aatrox heal base on how much damage he dealt , mainly by his skill. So it more intensive for him to go for more AD than other Juggernaut which will made him more squishy. 5.His passive kinda......meh and has insanely long cooldown for what it does. TBH , They kinda got the idea right but execute it so poorly. Some tweak here and there(not then number) can made him really really good. For example of what I think. 1.Made him able to move while casting Q. This will make much much more fluid to play and weave his skill together. 2.Change his E into longer dash (maybe double or triple the range if go toward enemy champion), Make it kinda of "oop I fuck up the range so much let me adjust that". But you can only do it once , Also it can be use as an engage tool.

Olderer aatrox was like his healing scaled with ad, so people would stack AD and become unkillable "in theory" since his older stats were really bad After the first rework the healing was proportionate to his hp and it worked better for overall situations since before a tank aatrox was just not effective So now....wtf? why it should should be now a healing based on phisical damage dealt??? I feel like aatrox might do better in the midlane than top now. as it is, an Irelia, RIven, Fiora, Tryndamere, etc, etc can just jump on him, cause him to miss Q1, Q2 major parts. They'll be able to walk out of his W pull, and his E mobility is just too limited in what it offers. Plus, his ult can be played around too easily I feel. in mid-lane, at least against mages, new Aatrox may be able to use his Q and W against a Mage at that mid range, while using e just for slight repositioning. Plus, his ult is great for surviving their major burst, like a Syndra Ult, and then his W + ult for chasing them down if they push too hard? Not 100% sure, but it seems like he could be viable mid lane? or at least against a mage. Problem is, he is definitely nowhere near as good as current Aatrox. Which is stupid.

For one, he's better in the jungle. For two, his dash is the anti gap-closer as well as the ability to reposition to land a triple knockup is pretty busted. His W also applied positioning/peel for his Q hits. Talk numbers if you'd like, but learn why they are the way they are before you start talking crap after a 2/10/something game. Just because you can't figure his kit out doesn't mean he's bad.

you have 2 guaranteed with the W slow and knockback, plus its really big area, you can multiple targets knockups(which is not by affected by Tenacity) meaning is an AoE a non reducible chain cc if executed correcly. Biggest problem is they shifted him into a pseudo riven who relies on abilities rather than having skills that supplement him as a right clicking beat stick. His mobility imo is also worse, and with his abilities being awfully telegraphed, I just don't see him being viable unless he has crazy numbers like Irelia - which if he does will be nerfed into the ground sooner or later.

His Q has 3 uses with 1-4 seconds in between, putting the effective cooldown on lv1 at 8-14 seconds based on cast speed, his W is a 1.5 seconds delay (dis-)engage hard cc, putting the effective cooldown on lv1 at 16.5 seconds which is fair, considering the very similar ability Death Sentence has 20/17 seconds on lv1, his E has 2 charges putting the effective cooldown on lv1 at 10 seconds and his ultimate is just a reaaly strong Zilean ult, which justifies it having 160 second cd on lv1. If Hashinshin used math he could maybe formulate an argument for once.

Actually he's really strong. I've played him, and all he needs is 40% CDR (Cleaver + DD + Spirit Visage or some other combination) and if you learn to reposition with your E while Qing your damage is not only very high but also you're a CC machine.

That's just it. Why does Aatrox need 40% CDR when Darius, Riven, Renekton, Kled, etc don't need ANY CDR to perform well and be relevant. I've played about 25 games of Aatrox now on PBE and can confidently say that you WILL be bullied out of lane if your opponent happens to be awake during the laning phase. Don't get me wrong, I love the new Aatrox, hell I main Aatrox support on live and have done so for about 3 years now. But having to get 3 items to reach full potential in a lane where being relevant at levels 1-3 is so important just isn't good. Using his E to position won't stop Kled from using his E. It won't stop Riven from using her E. It won't stop Camille from using her E. It won't stop Jax from using his Q. The list goes on.

Carson Tyler champs like riven and renekton do need cdr lmao. Almost every riven build path gets her to 40% cdr and builds for renekton are now utilizing cdr since his cooldowns are so long. Champs like darius needs to be tanky cuz He can be kited out by every champ in the game. I cant speak for kled cuz I dont play him. Point is every champ needs to build according to their kits weaknesses.

Riven and Renekton are good with 40% CDR. Do they NEED 40% CDR? No. that's what I was talking about in my post. The original post claims that Aatrox is "really strong" when he reaches 40% CDR. I countered by saying it isn't good when Aatrox NEEDS 40% to be relevant and champions like Riven and Renekton barely need any, if none at all. Levels 1-3, those champs have amazing all in potential, even with 0% CDR. Aatrox can barely do anything in those crucial levels, unless the enemy literally lets you walk all over them. I also don't understand the point of saying Darius needs to be tanky to not be kited. I wasn't discussing their weaknesses at all. I was discussing how those champions don't need CDR to perform well in the laning phase and in levels 1-3.

Carson Tyler well sacrificing laning for better teamfighting isnt bad. And again He can survive laning. If you extend his Qs like how you would with riven it can help with csing and harass. Level 1 He has the advantage on most champs except maybe riven since they dont have a gap closer to go closer. Level 2 He can punish getting closer with W then level 3 he'll fall off. Worst comes to worst he'd be a nasus type of champ since he'll be sustaining himself till He gets 2-3 items

This goes for pretty much all Juggernauts. Level 1, most people will stand in the wave and if Aatrox throws out a Q, he pushes the wave and is now in trouble. Level 2, his W doesn't go through minions and why would anyone walk out of their minion wave. Level 3, I agree with him being outscaled now. Nasus is designed to be weak early because he has infinite scaling. Aatrox does not. Why does Aatrox NEED 2-3 items to be relevant when, like I mentioned before, champions like Riven, Darius, Renekton, etc don't NEED 2-3 items to be relevant, it only makes them stronger. His sustain isn't even worth mentioning. 15-20% of physical damage dealt? That is literally next to nothing. Nasus gets lifesteal, which is much stronger. Point is, if Aatrox loses the lane, how is his teamfight going to be better compared to the opponent who won the lane? If Aatrox sacrifices the lane vs a Darius, how is his teamfight better than Darius's?
