I went to Disneyland when I was 6 with my oldest sister, who was 20 at the time. She had warned me I might be scared of Space Mountain, but I wanted to ride it anyway. I ended up loving it. The ride I cried on? It wasn't even a "ride"; it was some Star Wars thing, where you go into a theater and you sit in these seats that move. I guess I thought we were going to crash into the dusty mountains because I started bawling and was completely terrified the whole time 😂

I went on vacation with a group of friends and we rented a room at a hostel for the 6 of us. They gave us the biggest room they had, which had 12 beds in it, but the weird thing is that they kept pictures of their deceased family members on the walls (there were over 10 portraits), and we were pretty sure the place was haunted. One day we came back from the beach and there was a big turd in the toilet. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a ghost who took a shit in our bathroom, but the fact that a housekeeper might have gone in and thought of leaving us such a surprise blows my mind.

Space mountain was the first official ride and Disney ride that I had a chance to go on. I was young and scared. I was the only kid in the shelter (I was in foster care) who didn't want to go. The two shelter chaperones were angry that they weren't able to ride because of me. When I finally rode Space Mountain, I realized how small in comparison it was to the other rides.

True Story: My sister and I were detained at the Canadian border, partly because when they asked how long we were staying I answered "about 2 hours", and also partly because I hadn't signed my passport. #hippyvacationgonewrong when I was 19 and my best friend was 17, a couple friends were going to the Rainbow Gathering in Canada and asked if we wanted to go too. My besties parents gave the ok and wrote a permission letter for her to cross the border and own a shoe repair shop so we grabbed stripped of leather and bag of buttons for trading at the gathering and we packed some clothes and headed to Canada from Minnesota. When we got to the border we told the mounty what we were coming to Canada for and said that my friend couldn't go through without a parent or guardian and when they looked at the letter said it wasn't stamped by a notoriety and wouldn't accept the permission slip. So we sent our friends with the leather and buttons and a pocket knife to hitchhike the rest of the way and we turned around and went home. We decided to stop at Gooseberry Falls to at least make a day of it. When we got there I had a pait of flip flops and my girl didn't bring shoes lol #hippies so when the walk path was tarred and super hot on the feet so instead of giving up we shared flip flops so at least one foot wasn't getting burnt to a crisp. Needless to say by the time we got back to our home town we both had blisters on one foot. Still hilarious and memorable day even if at the time we were very disappointed.

My brother got pulled over at the end of a very long road trip to our brother’s wedding, we were all pretty tired and hungry - when the officer asked if we had any drugs, ect in the car we chuckled at him because we’re all clean looking kids who don’t even drink or smoke.
