Mondo is criminal for charging that much for so little shit, and HasLab is equally egregious with this stuff, the Ecto-1 shouldn't be behind a paywall and shouldn't be more than $200. These are just overpriced things regardless of how you wanna cope.

To me, the price isn't bad at all. 7 figues are included. A full set of GBs, Slimer, Library ghost, and Luis. All come with accessories. Full lights and sound for the car. Parts to make ecto 1 and ecto 1a. All for $400? I can't imagine a lower price at retail. If you are a GB fan, this is a must.

2 is my favorite, actually. I drank my share of Ecto-cooler from Hardee’s. My question, and it’s been nagging me for 35yrs is - is Ghostbusters 2 self-aware? Like, the No Ghost with the peace sign (for 2), that means nothing to the general public in the world of the movie. Companies rebrand/restructure all the time without putting a 2 in their emblem. RedLetterMedia said that the Firehouse in Soho has the Gb 2 sign. I’ve been meaning to go there and see it.

i backed it. i’m a huge ghostbusters fan and i honestly think it’s got a good value. If you look at the physical models they had at nycc this sucker is big and has loads of details. The lights are gorgeous as well. (if you buy the deluxe option) you get $175 value in just the figures with all their accessories and the car. Some won’t agree but i think it’s worth it

Ultimately not backing because already spent dough on Rattler and I'm not attached enough to need this vehicle. But I still think it's a great offering for Ghostbuster fans. I think Early Birds can work if it's something very skippable or excess. Like Gi Joe Haslabs, add additional missles or.......patches. But never apply the stick for these things. Tiers I think are still solid but depending I think it was wise to go Deluxe for this.

Price is on par with other premium vehicle offerings (not McFarlane, eww). I agree that the early bird idea needs to get scrapped - the direction they're going with these Haslabs has been great, otherwise. I think it feels like there are multiple a year because they're hitting us from different lines. Legends only has one a year, etc. They could still possibly benefit from slowing them down, so you at least get the previous one before ordering the next. It's exciting to get all the nostalgic 80's vehicles - in the past year or two we've gotten: 89 Batmobile (with lots of upgrading), General Lee (controversial), BTTF DeLorean (Kickstarter), A-Team Van(coming soon), GI Joe vehicles (so many!), and now the Ecto-1!! Just need KITT, and I'm all set. lol

$400 for a ecto 1 is insane. But when you think logically, you are getting about $175 in figures. So the ecto is really only $225. Which really isn't a bad price when you consider size and function.

The ROI on haslab GB and many others should make this a no brainer for many. If you don't end up wanting it later, sell for a profit! Don't love flippers but it's part of the thrill.

They had 2 haslabs over the summer back to back tvc2 cantina in June and gijoe classified Rattlor in late July going into September that started at sdcc. Hasbro is trying not to do 2 haslabs at the same time because of fall 2021 when they had 3 at the same time and the sw tbs Rancor failed. The gijoe retro 3 3/4 Skystriker didn't hit the last tier and the haslab Ghostbusters proton pack was a huge success. There trying to get as many backers as possible for every haslab. And Ghostbusters haslab Ecto-1 was hinted at back in June on Ghostbusters day and it said fall 2024.

Maybe I’m off on this but I think the deluxe version of this may be the best “bang for your buck” we’ve gotten in a haslab so far. The detail, lights &s pins on the ae to is great. When you add 7 figures to that plus solid accessories, this is actually a good deal. Of course if you can’t afford it then you can’t but saying it’s overpriced is a little naive. We live in reality and reality has context. When you consider other items of this size, quality and all of the things you get, this is about right as far as pricing. Also this seems like it will be a fairly low run as far a numbers go. I predict around 15,000 units which will make this somewhat rare. People are choosing now between this and Mondo’s Real Ghostbuster line. Some of these people will circle back in a year or so and be willing to spend the money for this on the secondary market. That’s my thoughts on it anyways. Time will tell though. Always appreciate you BN!! 🙌🙌

I have already backed it. It was the coolest thing to happen. Also, I know few YTubers have been highlighting the price point, and honestly I don't feel its expensive in today's world. Talking about expensive, the Mondo plastic ones at $100, that's ridiculous and still most folks are happy about it. I just wished instead of decals they could have done swappable plastic parts, as over time people would have to choose just one model.

I will say that I enjoy how they’ve switched things up and now they offer one version for x amount and another with basically all the tiers for a separate amount. So if you want all the tiers here you go. But you’re paying for them. I know it’s a bummer for many of us who wanted all the tiers but not for max price, but that’s better than you bought it expecting the tiers and then it didn’t fully fund and you’re now short one or two. Btw I’m to blame for the Ant-Man head. I didn’t get him. I should’ve. I’m kicking myself. I was just too wishy-washy and now we all pay for my mistake lol

The way I look at it, what would it cost to hire someone to make a 3D version and would it be as durable. These big projects are not something I back. Passing because I'm not that big of a Ghostbusters fan. But it is cool and worth the price IMO. I think HasLab campaigns are either going to become fewer and far between or go away entirely, depending on the license. Transformers and G.I.Joe are all perfect in terms of successful funding and reaching all stretch goals, so they have no reason to quit. Marvel and Star Wars have both taken some serious L's and have already begun to reassess their offerings. I predict they'll move to the direct-to-consumer model as seen with Dragon Man and X-Men 97 Sentinel.

I would of backed it but sold my ghostbusters 1 figures due to the height of the figures they didnt scale with 1/12 display. And the figures didn't have plasma streams except winston. Proton streamer stripped on my ray figure cause the plastic is so cheap

I think it's meant to. Same reason a large soda is usually slightly more than a medium even if it's twice the volume. The base model only makes sense if you are buying 2 sets to display a GB1 and GB2 car. If you are only getting 1, get the deluxe. I do hope the Haslab hate doesn't cause this project to miss. I've seen some people say there should be tiers with more figures. Some even said they wished the figures were tiers, which is mind boggling.

The thing is, Mondo offers payment plans and if you are doing the single sets they will be at online retailers and you could snag them on sale. With the Ecto, this is it. When the campaign ends, there are no more chances to get it. I'm going with 2. Partly to display both, but partly because I think this will be a low volume Haslab and resell value will go up on this one. Once reviews are out people are going to realize what they missed.

I have zero interest in merch of any kind from the second film. This just made me go out and buy the figures from the first wave because I'll bet they'll jump in price once they have a vehicle out. I wasn't collecting figures when they first launched and they aren't the easiest things to find in Canada as a complete set without some being ridiculously overpriced already. If they had of done the OG figures with the OG car it would have been a slam dunk for me. I'll just use my LEGO Ecto-1 as the vehicle since it's pretty detailed and nearly the same size as the Haslab.

I don't think the Ecto-1 will make it. It'll be close. I don't understand why the Haslab Ghostbusters projects keep going up by 2,000 required every year for backing. The Proton pack only required 8,000, then Two in the box 10,000 & now the Ecto-1 a whopping 12,000!!!! Do Haslab really need 4+ million from Ghostbusters fans to make this project happen... I dont think so. Target should be no more than 10,000 in 2025 for the next project.

I'm debating. It's really overpriced for plastic. Plus, the whole big gimmick--the decals being removable so you can have either car when you want--is only a temporary one. There's a limit to how many times you can switch, which also leads me to believe there's a limit to how long they'll retain their stickiness. I think, in the end, I probably will and have buyer's remorse after. 🤣

I think the reusable decals are a nice touch, but if people are planning on swapping looks constantly, they should just get 2. They did say they will include extras if frequently used decals, though. They should just post a picture of the plans for the decal sheets.

I backed the Ecto-1 as I'm a much bigger fan of the first movie. Plus, the figures are just repaints and not new sculpts. You still can find the first release of the GB figures on clearance at Hasbro and BBTS. At this point space is the biggest issue for me so I don't need more stuff I can't get rid of. I'm still sitting on a HISS Tank I can't budge.
