@50:40 My first day of college our director of education was talking to us all and one of the first things he said was that he was a big pothead. The gist of it was about perceptions about one another (and obviously he never came to school high) and that this was a place where it was healthy to have polar opinions as long as we all respected one another. Very interesting guy, he used to make or lose millions of dollars and hundreds of jobs for corporations with everyday decisions and ultimately started the school because he wanted to create something other than money. I'm Canadian but this was years prior to recreational legalization.

Smiths weed/alcohol comparison is spot on. Once talked to someone who was so against drugs she said 'I wouldn't even know what to do around drugs, I could never be friends with someone who would do that' Yet she's talking to me who doesn't drink and smokes every weekend but she's out drinking every weekend and having to deal with unwanted pregnancy as a result of an alcohol enduced mistake. I just don't understand how you can be so against weed but be so involved with alcohol.

Here in Finland weed is such a huge taboo. I mean, I know many people that smoke weed, but the general public is really against weed and sees it as dangerous etc. It's ridiculous if you ask me.
@DCLN4333 жыл бұрын
Only dangerous if ur not level headed, if ur growing up in a stressful environment it’s gonna make u more volatile more than likely, I think it’s where the stigma comes from, people smokin in bad environments then they attach the disorder, rage and chaos to weed, if u have ur head screwed on it can help with creativity and thoughts massively, I’d suggest to stop smoking as frequently when it’s time to work tho cos you’ll be too chilled to grind 😂😂

Guys.. just gotta do a quick correction here. The Shader based Raytracing in Minecraft is exactly the same as the RTX version of Raytracing. They are the same thing, literally, they both use DirectX DXR, which is the actual Raytracing implementation. The RTX is just the extras that nVidia put on their card to accelerate that. Edit: That was one badass Fingle!

On the discussion of what you consider to be a drug... It's entirely defined by where an individual draws the line. You can argue that psychoactive chemicals and drugs are continuously created by your brain and circulated through your system which will have an effect your perception and motor function (for better or worse)... Some entirely non-dependent on anything you consume! I'm an advocate for the right to choose what substances you willingly consume and to use the money (that would otherwise go toward legal enforcement agencies) on education and proper voluntary rehabilitation programs. ^Bit of a tangent from what you guys were talking about, but it's something I've always believed in so I thought I'd share. Glad to see you guys are so open-minded when it comes to this subject. Really enjoyed your vlog and you guys getting a taste of weed culture! lol. With respect to the e-scooter argument, it's easy to perceive their safety from the perspective of a young, healthy person. As you get older, slower and your senses less acute. I would imagine it can become quite concerning sharing a narrow pavement with silent , moderately high speed* vehicles suddenly behind you. Especially if you have something like osteoporosis which can make even low speed impacts a serious medical emergency. *Let's not gloss over how simple it is for someone with a soldering iron and Arduino to follow some online instructions on bypassing the speed regulator on an e-scooter, and there are models that are capable of 40kmh out of the box.

Not. Youd have to sanction them, invade the country and take down their fascist president to make it stop. But that only happens in the middle east. i would disagree with the classic wow view. Endgame is much harder mechanically now. Classic was just "get 40 people to bash on the boss and its a win" whereas now its more like a 20 player dark souls where you have to learn exactly where to be and when to be there and whatnot. Classic was harder to get the group together, but retail the bosses are harder. You can get a group easily in retail now, but boy, its going to be rough if people don't know what their doing.

Technically there isn't enough medical backing to say that any type of Diabetes can be "prevented" or "reversed" Both Type 1 and Type 2 are issues with cells not working correctly, or your immune system attacking your own body. Yes, your lifestyle can always add to issues you may have with your health, however saying that people cause Type 2, is a little rude because most doctors can't tell you why Diabetes exists in the first place. And I have Type 1.5 Diabetes - and that in itself is an not very understood version of Diabetes as well - I get Smith's comment on pot, however using Diabetes seemed random. There's just a lot of uninformed biases on how Diabetes works...so maybe not use it until some more research has been done. love ya guys.
@themanmrbijok73645 жыл бұрын
Type 2 Diabetes may not be prevented, but it can be suppressed. For example if you dedicate yourself by carrying out exercise activities for instance, over time it can allow the sugars to be used and depleted for it to be absorbed by the insulin as T2 is when the body intakes so much glucose it becomes resistant to insulin. Type one is different because the insulin producing glands aren’t producing enough or are destroyed, which lead to build of glucose.

@kieran_himself5 жыл бұрын
It's interesting, in my head - weed is bad. End of story, that's what I've been brought up to believe. I drink alcohol but don't smoke, and I'm 99% sure I will never try a cigarette or a blunt, simply for the reason that they don't appeal. Am I missing out if I die without ever doing weed? Maybe, does that bother me? Not at all. The whole reason I think alcohol is okay, but weed isn't is because of societal structures. I occasionally enjoy alcohol because I'm at university and it gives my life a whole social side that I wouldn't have if partying sober (believe me, I tried). Weed is a lot less accepted obviously, rightfully or wrongfully so, but since I haven't the slightest interest in trying it, I don't see any point in partaking in something that could become harmful or addictive. The same goes for smoking in many ways, I can't stand the smell and its so harmful (more so than alcohol for me, because I never go too far (okay, I was sick twice but cmon)). I'm not at all clued up on the legality of weed in the UK, nor the health affects. I'm not against other people smoking or smoking weed as long as it doesn't affect my life, but I have no tolerance of it for myself. I acknowledge that I'm probably somewhat ignorant to the full truth, since alcohol may be more dangerous in many ways. On a personal level however, alcohol doesn't negatively affect my health as much as smoking would do, I feel that smoking or smoking weed would harm me socially and physically far more than alcohol would. I would never unsub because you smoked weed though, like what the hell, live your lives, the weed video was great, I thoroughly enjoyed.

Bit late, but a lot of the stuff that smith says from around 50 mins on when discussing drugs and health strain are factually incorrect. An example of this is when he states that is type 2 is preventable and type 1 is not their fault. Sometimes not well known, but type 2 actually has a stronger genetic link and while yes you can take steps to prevent it, that is not going to work for everyone.

On the topic of bikes, electric scooters and what's illegal; it fucks me off that bikes have to be on the road. Would you rather a sack of meat weighing 150kg+ hit you / your 2-4kg bike/scooter hit someone or a chunk of metal weighing 1-5 tonnes hit you? Also, roads aren't designed for bikes. Yeah, pavements aren't either but they're *more* suited for it than fucking roads. What moron thought it was a good idea to put someone wearing nothing but a plastic helmet next to a 30mph several tonne chunk of metal that can't always see said person?
