Wonderful show Tony; well done - great hockey discussion with Max and Pierre! We’re all pulling for Kirby Dach; some very tough surgeries that he needs to work through.

Better than any TV panel I’ve seen. Thank you for doing this. On Dach, move him to be a middle 6 winger and get him to start learning that role and pay him accordingly.

This was my favorite podcast I have ever watched. Agreed with everything said. Don’t think Cousins will be available but would do that trade in a heartbeat. I so wanted Laine and when it happened was so happy but still didn’t think he would be doing so well so fast. The future is bright. Max saying about keeping all the egos happy will be a problem along with paying all the talent we will have. For the most part I think most of the team are Team players first. Like the US NBA dream team they had a sign at the dressing room to Leave your Egos at the door.

Hi Tony. Love your show - thank you. I believe you are enhancing what we gave up for Dach. Essentially it was Romanov and the 3rd rounder. This was a three way trade .. where the 13th we ‘received’ from NYI went to the Hawks. Don’t think it’s accurate to say we gave up Romanov plus plus

Great show! I don’t disagree with you guys very often but I do regarding the possibility to trade Anderson. This season, he is showing something else that I really appreciate. His body checking, fighting tough opponents and especially his PK skills are making me reconsider trading him for now. He has more breakaways, he gets to the puck so quickly and back checks so much more. He is probably the fastest skater of the team and he still is a power forward that his teammates seem to like a lot. I don’t mind if he scores less goals as long as he brings everything else to the table. I would even give him more opportunities in overtime because of all that. There are several big contracts that will end in the next two seasons, retained salaries are ending at the end of this season and even one buyout is probably coming later on so the opportunity to keep him as a veteran even at 5,5 millions is not a problem to me. I think he is quietly playing is way up to the second line, we’ll see! Unless he his part of a big trade to get a very good established player that would fulfill more needs for the organization, I would think about it twice before trading him at the deadline or next summer. I would not do it for either a draft pick or a young prospect because now we know exactly what kind of player he is. He’s got the ability to adapt his style (thanks to MSL) to the evolution of his career and the benefits of the team. He might even score between 15 and 20 goals this season so please keep it in mind…

Glad you also talked about Sabres, even though I'm not a fan, but it's baffling to see how they just can't seem to get it right. Tage Thomson has an insane shot, too. Because of his size, he shoots a bit harder than Patty, but for some reason, the Sabres aren't playing him properly in the spot. I was certain Tage would be bombing from the same place as Laine when the Sabres got on the PP, but they didn't play him right. And though Thomson is a center and has a great shot and hands, he isn't enough of a dynamic playmaker to create enough on his own.

Whoa Baby, What's Going on in Buffalo. Win the games you can win, two more bottom feeders remaining. Wings are as bad as the Habs, but with Laine, could be two more wins.

When Buffalo re-hired Ruff the same coach they replaced a few years ago, I knew they were not having a breakout year. What's happening in Buffalo and even in Nashville ??? If you look at the teams closed to Montreal for a top5 pick, Montreal can "still" easily finish 9th for the draft eventhough they need badly a top3 pick for their futur...time will tell !!!

A coach and GM establish the identity. If they have no identity, either they don't have the correct personnelle, the personelle they have aren't buying in or there's just something missing. The obvious thing for me is the Sabres don't have enough scoring and they have no veteran leadership. They've been blowing leads like crazy this year. Aren't getting the team defense or goaltending to win.

This is the Sick Podcast format every show. Gush about Lane Hutson, gush about Patrik Laine, talk down Kirby Dach. It's almost to the point where I can't even listen anymore.
@joecowan202 күн бұрын
I don't like the way Tony frames the trade for Dach. They didn't give up Romanov and the picks for Dach. They gave up Romanov for picks and flipped picks for Dach. Those picks weren't theirs to begin with and shouldn't be counted on unless they were generally considering drafting someone like Nasar. They gave up (essentially) Romanov for Dach and habs have been giving away dmen since their cupboards are overstocked.
@powers15002 күн бұрын
It looks like Buffalo really needs to do something drastic to wake up their team. Can't change the coach since they just hired him...and their owner even talked to the players before the game. They are already out of a playoff spot again ayoye !!!
