I got this rifle & love it , no problems & very accurate !!!

Choice of firearm is important but accuracy is more with the shooter itself, I shoot my Hatsan 95 .22 with three quarter inch groups and my Hatsan Striker .25 wit 1" groups at 20 yds. However, my brother can not get better than 6" groups. You just need to figure out the puzzle, figure out the correct hold and pellet combination that works best for you, and you'll find that the 95 is a decent rifle. I would take a Beeman or Weihrauch over a Hatsan, but a Hatsan is still a well made rifle

Mine doesn't like heavy pellets. Stick to lighter pellets. 25 grain. Diameters of pellets differ. So one tin can shoot all over the place, and the next tight. Differs more from brand to brand. 25 cal springer are vary pellet picky. I have a tin of JSB that didn't shoot well, then I ran them through a sizing die, and they shot great. Also sort your pellets. Keep them with in .1 grain weight. Even my tin of JSBs varried by 3 grains. Yes the 95 is pellet picky. But 25 cal pellets are not as consistent as most .22 pellets. I use springer for under 20 yard plinking and hunting. For 25-100 yards, use a good PCP. And all my 25's are more pellet picky than my 22's. My 30 cal PCP's aren't as picky as my 25's. Quality 25 cal pellets, and tuning your 25 to the best pellet for it is everything. Lastly, every time one of my springer looses accuracy, if it's not loose screws. The scope has come apart inside. Springer and nitro piston airguns eat scopes for breakfast.

I just got a Hatsan Airtact in .25, and I have similar results so far. Got 3 types H&N pellets, 1 JSB, 1 JTS. I'm gonna try all 5 out today. I did try the JSB already. Recoil sucks as my right shoulder is seriously messed up. I will shoot the rifle, but NOT every day. The plus was that it cost $89 thru Pyramydair with budget scope incl. I did clean the barrel first with a patchworm and Ballistol. I see my Hatsan as a Short range hunter/pest eliminator on a good day. Any gun likes certain pellets. Pyramydair offers buy 3, and get the 4th tin of pellets free. The JSB Exact King 25.39gr gave me 1" groups at 12yds. Good luck...PS, I dumped each tin into a tupperware and gave the pellets a light spray of silicone oil and rolled them around. I do this with most of my pellets.

In a later video I finally saw some pretty decent accuracy with this gun. For me it is a difficult gun to shoot, I hate the trigger as it’s movement doesn’t feel natural. Having to pull it up and back is very strange. The vibration and recoil makes shooting the gun unpleasant for me. Pyramid air doesn’t provide free shipping to Alaska. I’ve gone through the exercise of trying to use coupons, spend X amount of money to qualify for buy one get one free, etc. Their shipping charges always ring up way too high for me to order pellets from.

Lol , I think the reason we are all watching is we want to see you solve the puzzle on this Riffle , I don't own one so your 1st hand experience is invaluable especially to people who have gone thru similar challenges, laughing my ass off when you pulled out the Daisy 880 it was my 1st pumper and loved it . I love the efficiency of the breakbarrel but I'm slowly moving away as pcp takes hold of my mind , however, I am going to buy the Crosman 362 muli pump and play with upgrades/ mods over the winter. Good Video keep them coming .

Thanks for helping me understand! 😀 I’m trying to keep an open mind towards the Hatsan but it’s tough as I’ve owned it for quite a few years and it never fails to disappoint me. I broke down and ordered a tin of different pellets today so we shall see. My expectations are very low so maybe it’ll surprise me.

Hey there. In this video of yours, as in most others, it only takes me a few seconds to see the main mistake being made.. (* First really; always treat your airgun with care. Break it carefully, and close it carefully. It is not, a machine gun for war..) * But the absolute biggest and most common MISTAKE shooters make who have acquired a new weapon is to bring a bunch of different types of ammunition.. It just has to go wrong. It will instinctively create stress and haste - which is not suitable for shooting accurately. Also very important: a gun barrel/the windings inside need several shots to get used to the chosen bullet ..! It may need 10-15 rounds. Then it goes rather badly when you fire off 4-5 shots with one type, then switch to another, then again switch to a third etc.. With bad pellets. Also see that use types such as H&N Superdome and the like. They are NOT, made for precision. Drop them right away. Switch to JSB Exact King, (possibly JSB Predator), and only that. No other. For at least one day. ONLY, one type. Then the groups will be tightly packed.

I bought a Hatsan 95 in .177 a few years ago for my Son-in-law for $135.00, mounted the terrible package scope and sighted it in at about 33'. As mentioned the included scope is trash but I got it to where I could put 10 shots in a dime size group at that close range. Big difference that the .25 you are shooting. I had bought a Walther Terrus (also .177) for my Grandson about 5 years ago for about $175.00 and it too is very accurate at the 10 yard distance but haven't been able to stretch either of those out to 20 or 30 yards but think both are capable. I've heard Hatsan quality control is variable and unfortunately it sounds like you got the turd in the punch bowl

Yes! So far I’ve seen nothing to convince me otherwise. I remember after I first got it I was appalled at the lack of accuracy. I then read about all the accuracy issues other guys were having and got fed up with trying to get it to work. I honestly think the gun recoils and vibrates too much to be accurate. But who knows, maybe there’s a magic pellet out there that works amazing?
@wccross41472 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska, that is why I stick to .177 or .22 caliber for the wide variety of pellet available. Since I'm not a hunter and just shooting paper targets the small projectiles work for me. Crosman Premier pellets I get at Walmart seem to be just fine in my airguns if I do my part ( increasingly difficult as I approach 70). But a gun that shoots a poorly as the Hatsan for me would be the challenge to find what works in it. In your quest I wish you all the best luck and good fortune that may bring harmony into a chaotic world most sincerely
@airgunsofalaska2 жыл бұрын
@@wccross4147 thanks! I’m the same way, I pick up several tins of Premiers when I’m in Walmart and they work really well in just about all of my .22 cal guns. This Hatsan is my only .25 cal and I bought it more out of curiosity to see what a larger caliber would be like. Overall I think the Hatsan is much like the Chinese made Crosman Quest 800X I have. It looks nice but the build quality on the inside is where they saved money and that makes the accuracy suffer. On the opposite side of this price range you’ve got a Benjamin 392 that sacrificed fit, finish and aesthetics for accuracy and that gun flat out works. I’m not particularly enthused to try and figure out what will make this gun perform to at least an average level.

@thatalaskaguy-airguns For some reason the Model 95 in 25Cal shoots the H & N Hornet Rounds really well especially when I desieled these Rounds with Vaseline adding over 200 FPS and the H & N 22cal Rounds worked very well out of the Beeman Duel Caliber Break Barrrel Rifle as well and I've desieled around a thousand Rounds out of the Beeman Duel Caliber Break Barrrel Rifle with no ill effects out of that Springer making it just as powerful as a 22 Long Bullet. I've been shooting all types of guns since the early 80s and have no reason to lie !!!!!!! God Bless

It's so funny that you are laughing at the hatsan because that's exactly how I feel about hatsan,they shoot horribly,will not group, vibrates,noisy spring twang.I gave it to my teenage nephews,even they didn't like it.They hate it so much it boomerang back to me.

😀 I had fun making this video. Aside from the Hatsan shooting large pellets with power I don’t care for it at all. In all fairness to the gun and it’s fans, I did another video and was able to get considerably better accuracy out of it but it’s not an easy gun to shoot. I really dislike the recoil and vibration and am simply not too impressed with the gun. I should probably just sell it and use the money towards another airgun. I wouldn’t miss it at all.
