What caught my eye is that if these people are psychic as they say they are then they would know she’s lying when she says “it’s an enormous dead cell” “ even Nick says I wouldn’t bet on that. If I were you saying it’s not dead basically what he means.* Because she admits to Steve that that was a lie of course it’s you know not a dead so it’s just a sleep because it has no psychic or people to feed off of therefore It can’t be dead only halfway through the second half of the movie when the English man who psychic confronts Joyce about it not really being a dead cell and then she goes well how do you know that and then he reminds her and psychic remember? Then he starts making all the statements and she nonchalantly says well- possibly She looks more crazy and more insane as time goes on

Little editing note in the clip about the woman who disappeared in 1972. The tour woman? You can see as they all go up the stairs, THE EXACT MOMENT the woman who disappeared starts to separate from the group. In the next frame, they've backtracked to a close up shot of that moment. 5:32 is the exact moment you can see her start to manoeuvre away from the group if you pause it because the lady in the white jacket starts climbing the stairs in that shot but then is nowhere near the stairs in the next.

Wait playing this back I noticed an inconsistency in the story. John and Ellen married in 1907, they went on a cruise until 1908 and moved in to Rose Red in 1909. Where were they that year between 1908 and 1909.

Africa I believe. Ellen gets really sick and gets healed by an African woman and when they finally moved into Rose Red, the African servant moved in with them.

Africa is the right answer.

I read the rose red book my life at rose red and Stephen king wrote it under the assumed name of the name dr joyce Reardon (the professor) also the book states the house was built on an ancient Indian burial grounds. They used the inside of Winchester house for filming and the thornwood mansion

I never noticed what Bollinger writes at 4:54. I know I never see it up close on TV, but does he really write that in the movie?

Undertones similar to The Haunting. But the 63 version of The Haunting and King's Rose Red far surpass other remakes like the 1999 version of The Haunting and the Netflix version.
