City of Evil is still an album I listen to fairly regularly, front to back, and still enjoy. A classic for sure. There is dozens of other albums that I love and consider classics, but they don't get regular rotation in my playlists.

8:13 Sounds like Jimmy is just hitting a big crash cymbal at the same time as the snare. It's in kind of a halftime feel in that section so he's letting each cymbal hit ring a little longer, which makes it sound peculiar to your ear. nice pick up noticing a detail like that. Great reaction!

Amazing reaction. You're one of the few people who actually picked up on his very intentional shift in the last verse, where it sounds like he's tearing up as he sings. It goes over a lot of people's heads and they just think it's "weird" and ignore the context of the story entirely. It's my favorite part of the song, very emotional. Im no veteran, who returned from a brutal war, but i did see comments around, on songs like this from Veterans, and usaly they love these songs, so i think these type of songs is more a help for them to listen to, then a pain, i base that only of the many comments ive been reading around from veterans.
